Kurt Busch finds a Cubs icon on 'Old Baseball Cards' and immediately texts him
You know Kurt Busch from the world of race cars — he’s a NASCAR champ and Daytona 500 winner after all — but did you know he also loves baseball cards? Well, you’re about to.
Busch, a Chicago Cubs fan who grew up in Las Vegas, is this week’s guest on “Old Baseball Cards,” our baseball-card driven nostalgia show where we open packs of cards and reminiscence about the ’80s and ’90s. As a Cubs fan, we found a few cards he was thrilled about — one was Rick Sutcliffe, who Busch knows and texted during the show. We also talked about Mark Grace, Dave Stewart’s death stare, Juan Guzman’s flow and lots more.
One cool thing about Busch that you’ll learn on the show: He’s visited all 30 MLB parks. Yeah, he gets around the country. This week, he was driving across the country as part of the GoldRush Rally, a cross-country GRX drive that hits various landmarks around the country in style.
