Mike Krukow talks about Marie Osmond and getting hit with a comebacker on 'Old Baseball Cards'
You might recall that our “Old Baseball Cards” episode with San Francisco Giants broadcaster Duane Kuiper ended with him saying, “Wait ’til you do this with Mike Krukow.” Well, we did and it’s very, very, very amusing.
Krukow, who pitched 14 years in the big leagues and now is Kuiper’s partner in the Giants’ broadcast booth, has no shortage of stories on this week’s episode of baseball-card driven nostalgia show. He talks about the time Marie Osmond came to the ballpark, the time he got nailed with a comebacker, the player who taught him how to pitch to Mike Schmidt and the idea of “pitching baseball cards.”
It’s an all-around enjoyable episode that you’ll dig whether you’re a Giants fan who loves the sound of Kruk’s voice or a baseball fan who loves a good story.
