It's time to take a look at the standout high school performers from Stark County for the past week.

Your vote will determine who will be the SARTA High School Athlete of the Week for April 8-14. We will pick one girl and one boy. Each athlete's credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 5 p.m. Thursday. The winners will be announced Friday morning on CantonRep.com.

Here's a look at the girls nominees, in alphabetical order:

Jada Ames, GlenOak track and field

Won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in GlenOak's dual meet win over Jackson. Ran on the Golden Eagles winning 3,200 relay at the GlenOak Second Sole Eagle Elite, helping lead the Golden Eagles to the team title.

Matti Benson, Louisville softball

Tied a school record for career home runs and broke the Louisville program record for career runs scored in a 10-0 win over Ursuline, and also had a game with three doubles, two RBIs and two runs in a 9-8 win over Meadowbrook. Hit two home runs vs. Ursuline, giving her 31, to move into a tie with Grace Jackson for most in school history, while her 120 career runs breaks the previous mark of 119 set by Sydney McKeever.

McKenna Burk, Sandy Valley softball

Pitched a two-hit shutout and added three hits and three RBIs in a 17-0 five-inning win over River View.

Abigail LaPole, Jackson track and field

Broke the meet record in the mixed seated shot put at GlenOak's Second Sole Eagle Elite, with a throw of 18 feet, 11 inches.

Emma Reemsnyder, GlenOak softball

Pitched two shutouts in a five-innings wins over Massillon and Perry. Allowed five hits total in her 10 innings.

Here's a look at the boys nominees, in alphabetical order:

Carson Basham, Perry track and field

Won the 200 in 22.01 seconds at the Walsh Jesuit John Hassenstab Warrior Relays, leading Perry to the team title. His 200 time ranks No. 1 in Stark County.

Colin Cernansky, Marlington track and field

Set a meet record of 9:12.38 in winning the 3,200 at the GlenOak Second Sole Eagle Elite.

Ryder Greenwood, GlenOak track and field

Won the 100 and 200 in GlenOak's dual meet win over Jackson. Runner-up in the 100 and ran on the Golden Eagles winning 400 relay at the GlenOak Second Sole Eagle Elite.

Eli Ilg, Jackson track and field

Swept the 1,600 and 3,200 titles in a dual meet against GlenOak. Finished second in the 3,200 at the GlenOak Second Sole Eagle Elite. Time of 9:13.81 is second fastest ever at the meet.

Savian Wilkins, McKinley baseball

Pitched a complete game four-hitter in a 4-1 win over Massillon and went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs in a 12-2 win over Brush.
