SARTA Athlete of the Week Sept. 4-10 | Addison Burick, Rouven Czygan win the vote
Athletes from Louisville and Northwest high schools won the voting for the SARTA Athlete of the Week for Sept. 4-10.
Addison Burick is the girls winner and Rouven Czygan wins for the boys. They each received a little over 31% of their respective votes to win. Burick is the second straight Louisville volleyball player to win the award after Madie ElFaye won it last week. Czygan is the first Northwest athlete to win the award and the first non-football player to win it for the boys. More than 3,000 votes were cast for each ballot, the most in the three weeks of the program.

Louisville volleyball
She combined for 83 assists to lead the Leopards to four wins last week. That included winning three matches last Saturday at GlenOak, where the Leopards defeated the host Golden Eagles along with Massillon and Alliance. The senior co-captain has helped Louisville start the season 9-1, only losing a five-setter at Stow in the second match of the season.
Rouven Czygan
Northwest soccer
He scored three goals in a 4-1 win over Fairless last week and is putting together another special week this week. He's coming off a five-goal game Wednesday (with an assist) in a win over Tuslaw after delivering all three goals for his team in a 3-2 win over previously-unbeaten CVCA on Monday. Northwest is 3-3-1 this season.
Editor's note: Winners of the SARTA Athlete of the Week in the fall are not eligible to win it again until the winter sports season begins.
