SARTA Athlete of the Week Nov. 5-11 | Lauren Neisel, Malachi Card win the vote
Athletes from Central Catholic and Massillon high schools won the voting for the SARTA Athlete of the Week for Nov. 5-11.
Lauren Neisel of Central is the girls winner and Malachi Card of Massillon wins for the boys. Neisel plays volleyball for Central and received 72.34% of the votes cast. Card plays football for Massillon and received 52.92% of the votes cast. Neisel is the first Central athlete to win the vote this season, while Card is the third Tiger football player to win the vote within the last four weeks.
A total of 5,808 votes were cast overall.

Lauren Neisel, Central Catholic volleyball
She totaled seven kills and 12 digs in Central's state semifinal loss to Tiffin Calvert. She helped the Crusaders reach their first state tournament this year, winning their second straight district title along the way.
Malachi Card, Massillon football
He made 2.5 tackles for loss among his team-high six total tackles in a 35-6 win over Lake in a regional semifinal. He helped unbeaten Massillon limit Lake to just 32 yards of total offense in the second half.
