SARTA Athlete of the Week Jan. 29-Feb. 4 | Mar'Zae Gantz, Beau Siegfried win the vote

Athletes from Alliance and Louisville high schools won the voting for the SARTA Athlete of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

Mar'Zae Gantz of Alliance is the girls winner and Beau Siegfried of Louisville wins for the boys. Gantz plays basketball and received 36.82% of the votes cast. Siegfried plays basketball and received 43.08% of the votes cast.

A total of 4,869 votes were cast overall.

Mar'Zae Gantz, Alliance basketball

Led the Aviators with 19 points in their first win over Marlington since January of 2009.

Beau Siegfried, Louisville basketball

Scored a career-high 26 points and made eight 3-pointers, one shy of a Louisville single-game record in an 83-39 rout at Marlington before making three 3s and scoring 15 points in a 71-67 win over McKinley.
