SARTA Athlete of the Week Jan. 8-14 | Chacora Tackett, JR Jackson win the vote
Athletes from Alliance High School swept the voting for the SARTA Athlete of the Week for Jan. 8-14.
Chacora Tackett is the girls winner and JR Jackson wins for the boys. Tackett wrestles and received 37.56% of the votes cast. Jackson plays basketball and received 42.19% of the votes cast. They are the first two athletes from Alliance High School to win the vote.
A total of 7,386 votes were cast overall.

Chacora Tackett, Alliance wrestling
Won her weight class (235) at Top Gun Tournament in just her second year as a wrestler, helping the Aviators win the team title in the first year for girls wrestling at the event.
JR Jackson, Alliance basketball
Averaged 20 points per game in two wins last weekend, scoring 21 points for the Aviators in an overtime win over Minerva and 19 in a win over Massillon at the Hoover Hoops MLK Classic.
