H.S. cross country: Craig, Rettig, Dostal, Begert named Stark County Runners of the Week
Boys
DIVISION I
Jacob Craig
Hoover
Craig finished 15th in a personal-best 15:43.40 at last week's Wooster Invitational. He came in 18th at the season-opening Painesville Riverside Kickoff Classic Night Invitational and was ninth at the Marlington-Ashley White Invitational. Craig is a two-time regional qualifier who finished 14th at last year's Federal League meet and 16th at the Stark County Championships.

DIVISION II-III
Grasyn Rettig
Minerva, jr.
Rettig won the East Canton-Lee Sternberg Invitational and was runner-up at last week's Wooster Invitational, where he ran a personal-record 16:02. A two-time Division II state qualifier, he finished 17th at state last season to earn All-Ohio honors.

DIVISION I
Chloe Dostal
Perry, jr.
Dostal finished third in 19:21 at last week's Walsh Jesuit Invite. She is a two-time first team All-Federal League and All Stark County selection. As a freshman, she qualified for the state meet in cross country and in track in the 3,200 meters.

DIVISION II-III
Madelyn Begert
Northwest, soph.
Begert opened her sophomore season with two wins, including the Division II-III race at last week's Wooster Invitational in 17:59, breaking the school record by 36 seconds. Last year as a freshman, Begert won the PAC-7 title, was district runner-up, finished third at the regional meet and came in 12th at state.
