Stunner: Bears Roster Ranked Stronger than Green Bay Roster

On one day, Nick Wright of Fox Sports is saying the Bears are going to the Super Bowl, another day, Bleacher Report's David Kenyon calls them one of the most overrated team in the league. Assessments like power rankings have put the Bears somewhere near the mid-point of the league. The problem seems to be selling anyone on the Bears being better than Green Bay or Detroit. Whether a team is better or worse in objective evaluation of their roster should not take into account what division they play in, but Bleacher Report's Kenyon called them overrated and admits he can't get past the fact the Bears play Detroit and Green Bay twice.

NFL analyst not ruling out Caleb Williams taking the Bears to the Super Bowl

Bears Receivers Have More Than Talent Working on Their Side

The Bears receiver group has so much going for it in terms of talent that anything else seems superfluous. When the Bears hired former Chargers and Steelers receivers coach Chris Beatty to be receivers coach, they not only got the coach who spent the last three years working with Allen but also Moore's college receivers coach at Maryland.

Final 2024 Bears Offseason Grades for GM Ryan Poles

Bears GM Ryan Poles took significant action toward solving root problems with his team during the offseason and it's time to gauge where they're at as OTAs begin. The Bears take the field next week for actual non-padded practices, meaning they can throw to receivers who are defended, but there is no hitting. As such, a "soft" end point to the offseason has occurred and it's time to take stock of the work done by GM Ryan Poles in assembling this year's Bears roster. Poles' draft and free agency have been previously studied in separate phases.

Chicago Bears undrafted free agent Keith Randolph Jr. 'blessed' to get opportunity in home state

In Keith Randolph Jr.'s view, everything happens for a reason. The former Illinois defensive tackle had his mind set on being selected in April's NFL draft. “I'm just blessed to be out here with all these great football players,” Randolph said at last weekend's rookie minicamp. Bears general manager Ryan Poles immediately called Randolph after the draft and was one of the first teams to extend an offer.

Softer Starts for Chicago's NFC North Rivals Except One

The Bears are not the only team in the NFC North feeling like they've been smiled upon by league scheduling gods—aka Mike North of the NFL office. The opponents are already determined based on finish, but the scheduling could greatly help a team trying to break in a rookie quarterback. It seems the Lions and the Packers both feel the same way. As for the Minnesota Vikings, it's completely the opposite situation as they have to feel like they not only lost their quarterback but the entire league is ganging up on them.

Ranking the Toughest Five Games on 2024 Bears Schedule

A schedule offering great opportunity early also presents obstacles to the Bears. On balance, however, the schedule is softer than the one many teams face and definitely easier than the one other NFC North teams play. Based on opponents' winning percentages alone, the Packers have the NFL's fourth-toughest schedule and the Lions the 11th toughest. The Bears have the third easiest overall in terms of opposing winning percentage from last year, and considering how they play many of the weaker teams they'll face early in the season, it could be a catalyst for getting them into contention for a playoff berth of some type.
