Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 18 game

The Dallas Cowboys (11-5) are clawing for the NFC East title when they take on the Washington Commanders (4-12) at FedEx Field in the regular season finale.

Dak Prescott and company, who are 3-5 on the road this season, are barely ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles for the division crown. Last week, they kept their hopes alive with a 20-19 win over the Detroit Lions that ended in a controversial officiating call. CeeDee Lamb had a career-high 227 receiving yards. He already has a career-best 1,651 yards on the season.

The Commanders are riding a seven-game losing streak and are coming off a 27-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Sam Howell threw a touchdown and two interceptions in the last game. Jacoby Brissett saw playing time in the previous two games but was out last week with a hamstring injury.

The Cowboys won the first matchup over Washington this season 45-10 in Jerry World behind four touchdowns from Prescott.

Will the Cowboys be able to rally for the division crown? Or will their road woes get the best of them?

Lorenzo Reyes: Cowboys 31, Commanders 13

The Cowboys clinch an NFC East title with a victory here and Washington has uncertainty at quarterback, a coaching regime unlikely to return next season and a roster that is deficient to Dallas’.

Tyler Dragon: Cowboys 27, Commanders 17

Dallas will win the NFC East with a win over the lowly Commanders. A Cowboys win would also mean that no team has won back-to-back NFC East titles since the Eagles did it 20 years ago (Eagles won the NFC East from 2001-2004). Changes seem to be on the horizon for the Commanders. Black Monday could be busy in the nation’s capital.

Safid Deen: Cowboys 34, Commanders 17

Dallas hasn’t won many road games this season, but this is a chance to lock up the NFC East and the No. 2 seed. The Cowboys won’t pass that up against the Commanders, who are probably already packed for an offseason getaway.

Victoria Hernandez: Cowboys 30, Commanders 19

The Cowboys hands down have the better team and should capture the much-needed victory to clinch the NFC East. But this is a completely different squad on the road, so the 13-point spread feels a bit much even against the lowly Commanders.

Jordan Mendoza: Cowboys 36, Commanders 13

This might be the biggest blowout of the week. With a chance to lock up the NFC East, Dallas once again steamrolls Washington en route to a division title and significant home-field advantage in the playoffs, while Ron Rivera likely gets a pink slip the following day.
