Rutgers football is the first Power Five offer for Florida running back Keveun Mason

Rutgers became the first Power Five offer for Florida running back Keveun Mason, offering the athlete on Monday.

Mason, a class of 2025 recruit, was recently offered by Florida A&M, joining an offer list that already included UCF and USF.

He plays for Lake Placid High School (Lake Placid, FL).

Last season was a breakout season for Mason as a sophomore. He led Lake Placid with 1,807 rushing yards with 20 touchdowns in 10 games played, numbers that are simply staggering.

In nine of his 10 games played, Mason topped 100 yards rushing.

And not surprisingly, Mason has speed. And not just speed, that special kind of Florida speed. He runs the 100 meters in 10.5.

In the 2023 recruiting class, Rutgers landed six players from Florida. One player, three-star linebacker Abram Wright, was praised by the coaching staff during spring practice.

Wright, from Fleming Island, had an offer list that included Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina State, South Florida and Virginia among other programs.
