NaVorro Bowman begins sprinting
49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman began the sprinting portion of his ACL rehab this week, NFL.com reports.
"I must admit there's times when I look out of my peripheral vision and see them doing their workouts on the turf over there," head coach Jim Harbaugh said Friday. "It looked like he was moving pretty good, so that's very positive."
On the PUP while continuing to recover from his knee injury, Bowman may be able to return by Week 7 if his rehab continues to go smoothly. The 49ers play a tough road game in Denver that week. The team does have a bye the following week, so it may make sense to hold the All-Pro linebacker out until Week 9 if he's not 100 percent after his mandatory six weeks on PUP are up.
