Moreno practices with Broncos

Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno returned to practice on Thursday after being held out the previous day.

Moreno participated on a limited basis and said his injured right foot felt good. He's expected to practice again on Friday as the Broncos prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Moreno was hurt during overtime of last Sunday's 34-31 loss to the New England Patriots. He finished the game with 224 yards rushing on 37 carries.

After the game, Moreno used crutches and a walking boot in an attempt to protect the ankle.

"He was working on some sympathy," Broncos interim coach Jack Del Rio joked. "He's coming along."

Quarterback Peyton Manning (right ankle) and tight end Joel Dreessen (left knee) participated fully in Thursday's practice after sitting out on Wednesday. Both will play Sunday.

Also practicing were tight end Julius Thomas (right knee) and cornerbacks Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (shoulder), Champ Bailey (left foot) and Omar Bolden (concussion).
