Sunday, May 5

BASEBALL

Dartmouth 6, Apponequet 5: Down 3-0 after three innings, Dartmouth (7-4, 2-2 SEC) rallied back to win. Cam Sorelle (2-2) earned the victory, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while striking out four over five innings. Brady Beauparland pitched two innings in relief for his fourth save. Tom Quinn went 2-for-2 with three RBIs while Justin Cleves was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Donovan Burgo was 2-for-3 with an RBI. For Apponequet (9-3, 5-2 SCC), Gabe Zuber (1-2) started on the mound and pitched three innings, striking out five with no walks, two hit batsmen while allowing four earned runs on five hits. Ryan Levesque pitched the last three innings, yielding one hit with two walks for two earned runs with one strikeout. The Lakers were led offensively by Brody Joly (three hits and three RBIs) and Caiden Cyr (two hits, one stolen base and a run scored). Nathan Levesque and Dylan Bradley (triple, two RBIs) each had a hit.

Saturday, May 4

BASEBALL

New Bedford 5, Oliver Ames 0: Joe Castelo threw a complete-game shutout for New Bedford (2-9, 0-4 SEC), allowing three hits and four walks while striking out four. He also had a run-scoring single and scored a run. Trevor Roderiques had a single and walked twice and stole two bases. JT Goodine had a two-run single.

Wareham 6, Holbrook 2 (Game 1): Isaac Strawn earned the win on the mound for Wareham, pitching seven innings, giving up five hits, one walk and one earned run. Donovan Leonardi was 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and run scored while Tyler Cannon was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Wareham 7, Holbrook 2 (Game 2): Jason White earned the win, pitching four innings while striking out 10 batters and giving up two runs on three hits. Donovan Leonardi was 3-for-4 with an RBI while Kennan Peterson and Zack Colon were both 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.

SOFTBALL

Wareham 17, Holbrook 2 (Game 1): Madison Nereu pitched five innings, allowing no earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven. She also went 1-for-2 at the plate with three runs scored and an RBI. Jolee Anderson was 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and four RBIs while Emily Mancuso was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Sawyer Boutin was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs.

Wareham 4, Holbrook 0 (Game 2): Jolee Anderson pitched five innings, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out 12. She also went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Madison Nereu was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored while Jossalyn Anctil went 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Sawyer Boutin was 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored.

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 3, Martha’s Vineyard 2: The undefeated Lakers (10-0, 5-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Will Horton (6-0, 6-0), No. 2 Nate Belmore (6-2, 7-6 (7-3) and the second doubles team of Nick Connolly and Judson Cardinali (6-3, 6-3).

BOYS LACROSSE

Bishop Stang 13, St. John Paul II 2: Andrew Lally led the Spartans (7-4, 5-2 CCL) with three goals and three assists while Eli Ikkela had three goals and two assists and John Goll added two goals and two assists. Will Sanders had 12 saves.

Friday, May 3

GIRLS LACROSSE

Apponequet 13, Old Rochester 10: The Lakers (9-1) avenged an earlier season loss to the Bulldogs with the comeback win. Cece Levrault and Jayleigh Howarth had four goals apiece while Addie Taylor added three and Celia Hiller chipped in with two. Abby Bradley had seven assists. Ally Arruda made seven saves, including her 400th career save.

Upper Cape 14, Old Colony 7: The Cougars (4-5, 3-4 MAC) were led by Abby Pitts (five goals), Maddie Laughlin (one goal) and McKenna Benoit (one goal).

New Bedford 13, Taunton 4: Hannah Blanchard led the Whalers (6-7) with four goals while Zaria Anderson (assist) and Caitlyn Cordeiro had three goals apiece. Olivia Medeiros chipped in with two goals and Anette Bennett-Tucker made nine saves.

Dartmouth 14, Plymouth North 6: Grace Haskell erupted for eight goals while Sarah Kelly had three goals and four assists for Dartmouth (6-4, 1-0 SEC). Avery Smith had two goals while Kayla McGee had three assists. Arlene Johnson made six saves.

BOYS LACROSSE

Old Colony 17, Upper Cape 1: Stu Burnham scored eight goals, capturing his 300th career point for the Cougars (8-2, 8-1 MAC).

Dartmouth 12, Plymouth North 3: Lennox Massucco led Dartmouth with four goals while Jackson Hart and Will Gibson had three apiece and Jack Howarth and Bryce Desirey each scored once.

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 4, Dartmouth 1: The undefeated Lakers (9-0, 5-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Will Horton (6-3, 6-0), No. 2 Nate Belmore (6-1, 6-2), the first doubles team of Ethan Clark and Ryan Abreau (7-5, 6-4) and the second doubles team of Nick Connolly and Cory Dugdale (6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5)). Dartmouth got a win from No. 3 Will Harrington (6-3, 6-4). “After losing to Dartmouth’s first doubles at Dartmouth, Ethan Clark and Ryan Abreau played lights out to secure the win for Apponequet,” said Apponequet coach Nate Eleuterio. “Nick Connolly and Cory Dugdale played great tennis in a very tight second doubles matchup. After three long sets and a tie breaker, Nick and Cory got Apponequet their fourth win of the match. Incredible play from all four doubles players today.”

Old Rochester 5, Bishop Stang 0: The Bulldogs got wins from No. 1 Jacob Hadley (6-1, 7-6 (7-4), No. 2 Peter le Gassick (6-3, 6-0), No. 3 Zack Mourao (6-0, 6-1), the first doubles team of Chase Besancon and Ethan Miguel (6-1, 6-3) and the second doubles team of Lucas Pierre and Lucas Hadley (7-5, 6-2).

GIRLS TENNIS

Old Rochester 3, Bishop Stang 2: The undefeated Bulldogs (9-0, 7-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Neva Matos (6-3, 6-1), the first doubles team of Liz Houdelette and Mari Sudofsky (3-6, 6-3, 6-1) and the second doubles team of Delaney Chase and Caroline Houdelette (7-6 (7-0), 6-2). Bishop Stang got wins from No. 2 Katherine Johnson (6-3, 6-0) and No. 3 Sara Pothier (7-5, 6-4).

Fairhaven 4, Diman 1: The Blue Devils (10-2, 7-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Elizabeth DaCunha (6-2, 7-6), No. 2 Sabrina Zheng (6-1, 6-4), No. 3 Olivia Darmofal (6-0, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Emily Giammalvo and Madeline Gamelin (6-2, 6-3).

Dartmouth 3, Apponequet 2: Dartmouth (6-3, 4-1 SEC) captured its sixth straight win thanks to victories from No. 2 Cami Taradash (4-6, 6-3, 6-2), the first doubles team of Adeline Ablett and Julia Caron (6-1, 6-0) and the second doubles team of Ava Dusoe and Sophia Rutkowski (6-3, 6-3). Winners for Apponequet were No. 1 Kohana Fontinha (6-4, 6-1) and No. 3 Jillian Maher (6-2, 6-4).

SOFTBALL

Apponequet 12, New Bedford 0 (5 innings): Christina Magnett went 2-for-4 with a triple, home run, four RBIs and two runs scored for Apponequet (9-3, 6-1 SCC) while Morgan Saraceno was 2-for-3 with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored. Eva Zuber went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored while Caleigh Venuti was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a run scored. Hailey DaRosa went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Lauren Bernaiche pitched five shutout innings, allowing four hits with no walks while striking out nine. She also went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Durfee 0: The undefeated Whalers (12-0, 3-0 SEC) were led by Carter Barbosa with 30 assists, four blocks and eight digs. Juan Grau Montano had 11 kills while Nyron Foster had nine kills and four aces. Davon Shields and Amir Salih Tavares have five kills each while Davon Centeio recorded 10 digs and Abner Cun added eight digs.

BOYS TRACK

Brockton 83, Dartmouth 39: Dartmouth (1-2, 1-2 SEC) got wins from Trent Farnworth in the 800, Maddux Carreiro in the javelin, Tiago Lameiro in the mile and Owen Shurtleff in the discus.

Thursday, May 2

BASEBALL

Old Colony 13, Norfolk Aggie 0 (5 innings): Chase LaFountain was the winning pitcher for Old Colony (5-6, 4-3), allowing no runs on one hit and no walks with 10 strikeouts over four innings. LaFountain was 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Jacob Wojnar was 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Cole Correia was 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Todd Soares was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored while Colin Monahan went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

Apponequet 4, East Bridgewater 0: Nathan Levesque (4-1) pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out 13 with no walks while scattering five hits. He had one hit and one RBI at the plate. Lucas Tremblay led Apponequet (9-2, 5-2 SCC) on offense with two hits and an RBI.

Somerset Berkley 7, Dartmouth 1: Louie Freitas (0-1) took the loss for Dartmouth (6-4, 2-2 SEC). He went two innings, giving up five runs (two earned) on seven hits, one walk and two strikeouts. Markus Andrews, Tom Quinn, Jayden Claudio and Justin Cleves each had a hit.

Fairhaven 4, Nauset 3: Ryan Pires (3-1) was in command on the mound for Fairhaven (7-5, 5-3 SCC) as he threw his third complete game of the season, only throwing 75 pitches with 60 strikes and 15 balls. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine. Scott Joseph went 2-for-2 with a walk, stolen base and run scored while Nikko Morris was 2-for-3 with a stolen base and run scored. Colby Correia (two RBIs), Chase Feno (RBI and run scored) and Sam Simoes (stolen base) each went 1-for-3 while Tommy Marcotte was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

SOFTBALL

Wareham 19, Westport 4: Madison Nereu pitched four innings, allowing one hit and no walks with six strikeouts for Wareham (8-3, 3-1). She also went 1-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored. Jossalyn Anctil was 2-for-4 with a double, three steals, two RBIs and four runs scored while Jolee Anderson was 3-for-5 with a double, home run, four runs scored and four RBIs. Sawyer Boutin went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs while Julia Young was 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI.

Norfolk Aggie 14, Old Colony 10: Patty Spillane went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored to lead the Cougars (4-5, 4-2 MAC Small). Kayleigh DeSousa pitched seven innings and had eight strikeouts. At the plate, she went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and three RBIs. Emma Yelle was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and two runs scored. Lindsey Bacchiocchi was 2-for-3 with a stolen base, RBI and two runs scored.

Bourne 6, Bishop Stang 5: Katie Manzone went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored while Soph Brousseau was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored for Stang (2-8, 1-3 CCL). Ava Teixeira was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs scored while Sid Alboum was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

BOYS LACROSSE

Dighton-Rehoboth 15, GNB Voc-Tech 5: Kevin O’Brian won 18 of 24 faceoffs, had six ground balls, one assist and one goal for the Bears (1-9, 0-5 SCC). Nathan Pearson had one assist with three goals while AJ Pragana had four ground balls, one assist and one goal. John Santana had 14 saves in net.

GIRLS TENNIS

Apponequet 4, Seekonk 1: The Lakers (8-2, 7-1 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Kohana Fontinha (6-1, 6-1), No. 2 Brynn McLaughlin (6-3, 6-2), No. 3 Jillian Maher (6-2, 6-2) and the second doubles team of Emma Lehane and Emily Pavao (6-0, 6-3).

Old Rochester 5, Bourne 0: The undefeated Bulldogs (8-0, 7-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Neva Matos (6-0, 6-0), No. 2 Macy Ingham (6-1, 6-0), No. 3 Emily Wyman (6-2, 6-3), the first doubles team of Liz Houdelette and Mari Sudofsky (6-0, 6-3) and the second doubles team of Delaney Chase and Caroline Houdelette (6-0, 6-1).

Fairhaven 5, Westport 0: The Blue Devils (9-2, 7-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Elizabeth DaCunha (6-0, 6-2), No. 2 Sabrina Zheng (6-0, 6-1), No. 3 Olivia Darmofal (6-0, 6-0), the first doubles team of Maddy Gamelin and Hazel Hochella (6-4, 6-3) and the second doubles team of Tracy Zhao and Mikayla Smith (6-4, 6-4).

Dartmouth 3, Bridgewater-Raynham 2: Dartmouth (5-3, 4-1 SEC) moved into a tie with Bridgewater-Raynham for first place in the Southeast Conference. Cami Taradash rallied to win 7-5, 6-1 at second singles. Dartmouth also got wins from the first doubles team of Adeline Ablett and Julia Caron (6-3, 3-6, 6-2) and the second doubles team of Ava Dusoe and Sophia Rutkowski (6-3, 6-2).

Durfee 3, New Bedford 2: The Whalers (2-5, 0-3 SEC) got wins from No. 1 Emma Gibney and the second doubles team of Adison Teixeira and Cassie Martins.

Wareham 3, Diman 2: The Vikings (9-1, 2-1 MAC) got wins from No. 1 Brooklyn Bindas (6-0, 6-0), the first doubles team of Keira Pierre and Evie Francis (6-2, 7-6 (7-5) and a forfeit at second doubles.

Bishop Stang 5, St. Mary’s 0: The Spartans (5-1, 3-1 CCL) got 6-0, 6-0 wins from Lexy Wynn, Sarah Pothier, Katherine Johnson, the doubles team of Lilly Manning and Mary Grace Russo and the doubles team of Noella Canastra and Marie Claire Walso.

BOYS TENNIS

Apponequet 5, Seekonk 0: The undefeated Lakers (8-0, 5-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Will Horton (6-1, 6-1), No. 2 Nate Belmore (6-1, 6-0), No. 3 Judson Cardinali (6-0, 6-1), the first doubles team of Ethan Clark and Ryan Abreau (6-1, 6-2) and the second doubles team of Nathaniel Kumlin and Cory Dugdale (6-1, 6-0).

Dartmouth 4, Bridgewater-Raynham 1: Dartmouth got wins from No. 2 Owen Nielson, No. 3 Isaiah Beckwith, the first doubles team of Steven Wei and Brian Wei and the second doubles team of Saied Kazan and Elias Kazan.

Diman 3, Wareham 2: The Vikings (2-9, 0-3 SCC) got wins from the first doubles team of Ajani Bunting and Brett Brophy (6-6 (7-4), 6-2) and the second doubles team of Tomas doCanto and Matt Gourdin (6-4,6-6 (10-6)).

BOYS TRACK

Old Rochester 92, West Bridgewater 44: The Bulldogs got wins from Wes Archelus in the 200 (23.8), triple jump (38-7) and 110 hurdles (14.7), Zach Gates in the discus (133-8), Brady Shurtleff in the shot put (38-1), Hunter Bishop in the javelin (144-0), Braeden Christopher in the long jump (19-6), Noah Robert-Howley in the 2-mile (11:27), Luke DeVoe in the 400 hurdles (68.2), Nolan Bushnell in the 800 (2:00), John Bowman in the 400 (51.8) and Tyler Young in the mile (4:33).

Apponequet 80, Somerset Berkley 56: The Lakers (1-2) got wins from Tommy Smith in the 110 hurdles (14.9), 400 hurdles (58.7), triple jump (38-9) and high jump (5-4), Nate Furtado in the mile (5:19) and 2-mile (10:57), Elijah Barlow in the long jump (19-5) and discus (108-2), Aiden Enloe in the 400 (53.1), Taber Lawler in the javelin (137-4) and Josh Snyder in the 200 (23.6).

GIRLS TRACK

Old Rochester 81, West Bridgewater 54: The Bulldogs got wins from Emily Abbott in the triple jump (32-7) and 800 (2:24.1), Abby Balsis in the discus (85-10), Hannah Thorrell in the shot put (26-11.5), Morgan Patraiko in the javelin (92-5), Gabby Pinhancos in the 400 hurdles (76.9), Rayn Lauradin in the 100 (13.0) and Audrey Thomas in the 400 (59.8).

Apponequet 89, Somerset Berkley 47: The Lakers (2-1, 2-1 SCC) got wins from Morgan Hayward in the high jump, 200 and 400 hurdles, Orianna Hernandez in the long jump and triple jump, Reagan Flynn in the 100, Bella Sergio in the 800, Emily Bodwell in the 400, Madeline Polochick in the mile, Bella Gagnier in the javelin and Peyton Savageau in the shot put.

Wednesday, May 1

SOFTBALL

Fairhaven 9, West Bridgewater 8: Sydney Merusi had the walk-off double to win the game. The Blue Devils (5-7, 3-4 SCC) rallied back from being down 8-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning. Lola Chase (3-for-4 with an RBI) led off with a single and Elaine Monroe (2-for-4) followed with a single. Arden Bradshaw (3-4) had an RBI single to make it 8-6. Stella Zangao added another RBI single to make it 8-7, and then Merusi (4-for-5) came through with the walk-off double to win the game. Ava Morrison made the highlight play defensively in centerfield. She made a nice catch for the second out and then she threw out the runner at home plate who was tagging up from third to get Fairhaven out of that inning. She was also 2-4 with an RBI.

Dartmouth 4, New Bedford 3: Paige Martins went 3-for-3 with the game-winning RBI for Dartmouth (6-4, 2-0 SEC). Hannah Garcia and Aubrey Carberry also contributed with an RBI. Olivia Rapoza went 2-for-2 at the plate. Megan Arruda pitched a great game, allowing two earned runs while walking one and striking out five. For New Bedford (5-4, 3-1 SEC), Ava Kaplan and Amelia Davis had two hits apiece.

Apponequet 10, GNB Voc-Tech 2:  Lauren Bernaiche pitched seven innings for Apponequet (8-3, 6-1 SCC), allowing two earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out eight. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.  Eva Zuber was 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored while Morgan Saraceno was 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Hailey DaRosa was 3-for-4 with three doubles and an RBI while Christina Magnett was 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored. Marissa Kelly went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. For Voc-Tech (5-6, 3-4), Ana Tsonis took the loss on the mound. The Bears have lost five out of their last six games.

Old Colony 19, Cape Cod Tech 2: Sharon Delancey and Kayleigh DeSousa combined for the no-hitter. DeSousa pitched three innings with five strikeouts for Old Colony (4-4, 4-1 MAC Small). Emma Yelle made an over the head running catch to save no-hitter in the fifth inning. DeSousa went 3-for-4 at the plate with three doubles, three stolen bases, three runs scored and four RBIs while Faith Young was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs. Lindsey Bacchiocchi was 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs scored and three RBIs. Leah Robitaille was 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored.

BASEBALL

Apponequet 6, GNB Voc-Tech 0: Dylan Bradley (4-0) pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out four with three hits and two walks for Apponequet (8-2, 5-2 SCC). The Lakers were led offensively by Caiden Cyr (two hits and three runs scored) and Lucas Tremblay (two hits and an RBI). Nathan Levesque added a hit and RBI. For GNB Voc-Tech, Jhaden Reis had two hits while Mark Tiffany and Dominick Bland each had one. Freshman Dorian Fortes took the loss, allowing four runs with five strikeouts over four innings.

Cape Cod Tech 5, Old Colony 1: Marc Donati was the losing pitcher for Old Colony (4-6, 3-3 MAC), allowing five earned runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out seven over six innings. Aven Beauchemin was 1-for-3 while Owen Deree was 1-for-2 with a walk.

West Bridgewater 4, Fairhaven 3: The Blue Devils (6-5, 5-3 SCC) suffered their third road loss by walk-off fashion. Scott Joseph went five innings, allowing two runs (none earned) with three walks and nine strikeouts. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with two runs scored. Tommy Marcotte was 2-for-3 with a double while Christopher Blake was 2-for-2 with a walk and RBI. Nick Lajoie went 1-for-2 with his first varsity hit.

Case 12, Old Rochester 2: The Bulldogs (3-9, 1-5 SCC) let an early lead slip away. Colin Mello went five innings, allowing nine hits and three walks while striking out four. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Malcom Bean was 1-for-3 with a double and RBI while Jason Tobin and CJ Braga both went 2-for-3. Finn Kavanaugh was 1-for-2.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, Xaverian 1: Carter Barbosa had 13 assists and eight service points to lead the undefeated Whalers (11-0, 2-0). Nick Rosa had 10 service points while Abner Cun had seven. Juan Grau Montano had six kills.

Barnstable 3, GNB Voc-Tech 1: Jack Gwowdz led the Bears (7-3, 4-1) with 16 kills, seven digs and 16 assists while Colin Stuessi had 12 kills and 14 digs. Aryden Rodriguez had 18 assists.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Apponequet 17, Dighton-Rehoboth 16, OT: Cece Levrault led Apponequet (8-1) with five goals while Addie Taylor added four and Cynthia Morales and Celia Hiller had two apiece. Meri Hayward, Emma Bradford and Niamh Gallagher were outstanding on defense for Apponequet.

Cardinal Spellman 9, Bishop Stang 8: The Spartans (5-7, 2-5 CCL) were led by Ava Jackson (three goals), Julia Pelzarski (two goals), Sydney Plouffe (two goals) and Bella Batista (nine saves).

Fairhaven 17, Bourne 2: Fairhaven (7-5, 4-0 SCC) had 13 different goal scorers. Christina Pimentel led the way with three goals and one assist while Sophia Fleurent had two goals and two assists. Gabby Olmeda had one goal and two assists while Meg Powers and Madi Lewis had one goal and one assist apiece. Natalie Carrico (one goal) and Ava Ferrero (two goals) had their first varsity goals.

BOYS LACROSSE

Fairhaven 14, Bourne 4: Jared Reardon (assist), Jarrod Frates and Barrett Becotte had three goals apiece for Fairhaven (9-3, 5-2 SCC) while Justin Marques added two goals and two assists. James Isaksen caused five turnovers and had two ground balls while Will Foster had four ground balls and caused four turnovers.

Bishop Stang 17, Cardinal Spellman 1: Eli Ikkela notched five goals and two assists while Andrew Lally added three goals and three assists for Bishop Stang (6-4, 5-2 CCL). Ben Barratte had two goals, including the first of his varsity career.

Old Colony 7, South Shore 5: Luke Meelia had three goals while Stu Burnham had one goal and two assists for the Cougars (8-2, 8-1). Brody Darling added a pair of goals.

Apponequet 21, Dighton-Rehoboth 8: The Lakers (7-2, 6-0 SCC) were led by Kenny Wisniewski (five goals and five assists), Jake Cusson (three goals and four assists), Kevin O’Connor (three goals, two assists and 14 faceoff wins), Nathan Navaga (three goals), Colin McKay (one goal and four assists) and Hunter Owen (three saves).

For Voc-Tech (1-8, 0-4 SCC), Kevin O’Brian won 14 of 18 faceoffs with five ground balls while Nathan Pearson scored one goal and John Santana made 11 saves in net.

Diman 3, Wareham 2: The Vikings (8-1, 1-1 MAC) got wins from No. 1 Brooklyn Bindas (6-0, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Keira Pierre and Evie Francis (6-3, 6-3).

BASEBALL

Bishop Stang 11, Cardinal Spellman 1 (5 innings): Landon Cardoza pitched five innings, allowing one run on two hits with no walks while striking out 10 for Stang (3-7, 1-3 CCL). Nicholas Nasiff went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored while Erick Dawson was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored. Brock Winslow was 1-for-2 with a walk and three runs scored.

Brockton 6, Dartmouth 4: Four Dartmouth (5-3, 1-2 SEC) errors led to five unearned runs. Cam Sorelle went 4 ⅓ innings, allowing five runs (four unearned), walking six and striking out three. Tom Quinn and Donovan Burgo each had two hits.

SOFTBALL

Bourne 11, Old Colony 6: Kayleigh DeSousa pitched seven innings, allowing four earned runs on three hits and six walks while striking out 12. At the plate, she went 1-for-3 with an RBI and run scored for the Cougars (3-4, 3-1 MAC Small). Patty Spillane was 1-for-3 with a walk, stolen base, two RBIs and three runs scored while Huntter DeSouza was 1-for-1 with two RBIs and Leah Robitaille was 1-for-3 with a stolen base and RBI.

Dartmouth 4, New Bedford 1: Dartmouth (4-3, 3-1 SEC) captured its fourth straight win thanks to victories from No. 2 Cami Taradash (6-2, 6-0), No. 3 Sydney Leary (7-5, 4-6, 10-7), the first doubles team of Adeline Ablett and Julia Caron (6-0, 6-0) and the second doubles team of Ava Dusoe and Sophia Rutkowski (6-0, 6-1). The lone win for New Bedford (2-5, 0-2 SEC) came from No. 1 Emma Gibney (6-1, 7-6 (7-3).

Fairhaven 4, West Bridgewater 1: The Blue Devils (8-2, 7-0 SCC) got wins from No. 1 Elizabeth DaCunha (6-0, 6-0), No. 2 Sabrina Zheng (6-0, 6-1), No. 3 Olivia Darmofal (6-0, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Emily Giammalvo and Madeline Gamelin (6-3, 6-1).

Southeastern 98, Wareham 34; Tri-County 97, Wareham 37: Winning events for Wareham (2-4) were Ty-Rell Pires (javelin and discus), Kyle Susko (high jump), Ajay Lopes (long jump) and Cole Berriault (100 and 400).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Old Colony 15, Bourne 10: Abby Pitts scored eight goals, including the 200th of her career to power the Cougars (4-3, 3-2 MAC). Logan Crook added four goals while Addison Tyler had two.

Apponequet 18, New Bedford 10: Cece Levrault notched six goals while Abby Bradley had five for Apponequet (7-1). Jayleigh Howarth added four while Addie Taylor had three. Ally Arruda made seven saves.

Dartmouth 8, Fairhaven 6: Grace Haskell led Dartmouth (5-4, 1-0 SEC) with four goals and two assists while Madison Goldizen added two goals and Kayla McGee chipped in with one goal and one assist. Arlene Johnson made six saves. For Fairhaven (6-5, 3-0 SCC), Carlie Francis had two goals and one assist while Christina Pimentel had two goals and Sophia Fleurent had one goal and one assist.

Bishop Stang 13, Seekonk 2: Sofie Doucet led the Spartans (5-6, 2-4 CCL) with four goals while Julia Pelzarski, Sydney Plouffe, Ava Jackson and Molly Kearney had two apiece.

GNB Voc-Tech 13, Southeastern 5: Taylor Pearson recorded five goals while Anissa Paiva had four goals and two assists. Ella Costa and Julia Hartford had one goal and one assist apiece for Voc-Tech (5-3, 3-2 SCC). Emma Farland made 12 saves.

Fairhaven 14, Dartmouth 6: Justin Marques led Fairhaven (8-3, 4-2 SCC) with two goals, three assists, 12 ground balls and winning 65% of faceoffs. Barrett Becotte chipped in with five goals and one assist. For Dartmouth, Jackson Hart had three goals while Will Gibson, Lennox Massucco and Bryce Desirey each had one.

Bishop Stang 14, Old Rochester 6: Andrew Lally led the Spartans (6-4, 4-2 CCL) with four goals and four assists while Eli Ikkela had five goals and three assists. Jack Ellsworth added two goals while Will Sanders made 15 saves.

New Bedford 14, GNB Voc-Tech 12: Brandon Moreira scored a career-five goals while Misael Dominguez had a career-high four goals. Chris Monterroza added three goals while Orlando da Silva had one and Keneth Medina had his first varsity goal. For Voc-Tech (1-7, 0-3 SCC), Nathan Pearson had three goals, one assist and seven ground balls while AJ Pragana had four goals, one assist and six ground balls. Noah Tavares won 7 of 12 faceoffs and had seven ground balls, two goals and one assist. John Santana made 13 saves in net.

Old Colony 15, Blue Hills 2: Brody Darling had five goals to power the Cougars (6-2, 6-1 MAC) while Stu Burnham added one goal and three assists. Luke Meelia scored three goals.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

New Bedford 3, North Quincy 2: The undefeated Whalers won 25-23, 25-20, 15-25, 16-25, 15-9 thanks to 37 assists from Carter Barbosa. Juan Grau Montano had 11 kills while Nick Rosa added nine kills and 13 digs. Abner Cun contributed six digs and three aces.

GNB Voc-Tech 3, Quincy 2: Colin Stuessi had a career-high 36 kills to go along with 18 digs and four blocks for the Bears (7-2, 4-0). Stuessi is now in third place in Voc-Tech history for most kills in a match. Carlos Anaya added nine kills and four blocks while Jack Gwozdz had 24 assists, 15 digs, five blocks and five kills. Aryen Rodriguez added 27 assists and six digs and Mason Rua had 26 digs. Gabe Vieira chipped in with 11 digs.

BASEBALL

Apponequet 6, Old Rochester 1: Gabe Zuber (1-1) pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts. Caiden Cyr pitched the final inning for the save for Apponequet (7-2, 4-2 SCC). Justin Serrecchia led the Lakers with two hits, two RBIs and a stolen base while Seth Richards (RBI), Brody Joly (RBI), Cam Sylva (two RBIs), Dylan Bradley, Nathan Levesque, Cyr, Lucas Tremblay and Zuber each had one hit.

Durfee 6, Bishop Stang 5: Matt Burt and Nate Moniz both went 2-for-3 with a run scored for Bishop Stang (2-7, 0-3 CCL). Brock Winslow was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

Bridgewater-Raynham 8, New Bedford 1: Marquize Gonsalves struck out six in three innings of work for the Whalers (1-8, 0-3 SEC). Jaren Goodine, Joe Castelo, Nolan Martin, Trevor Rodrigues, Jack Di Matteo and A’Jay Rivera had hits while Castelo had an RBI and Julez Johnson scored the Whalers’ only run.

Seekonk 4, Fairhaven 0: Three errors cost the Blue Devils (6-4, 5-2 SCC) despite a one-hitter by Jason Perry over five innings. He walked three and struck out 12. Tommy Marcotte went 2-for-3 with two doubles while Evan Lamontagne was 2-for-3. Nikko Morris was 1-for-4 while Colby Correia was 1-for-3.

Diman 7, Old Colony 1: Cole Correia allowed two earned runs on 11 hits with no walks and three strikeouts in 5 ⅔ innings. Aiden Deree had a double and scored his team’s lone run on an RBI by Marc Donati. Dylan Mendez had two hits for the Cougars (4-5).

SOFTBALL

Dighton-Rehoboth 13, GNB Voc-Tech 3: Genesis Nunes, Zoe Texeira and Janiah Cooper each had two hits for Voc-Tech (5-5, 3-3 SCC). Ana Tsonis took the loss on the mound with the defense behind her committing four costly errors.

Apponequet 17, Old Rochester 0: Sarah DelVecchio pitched five innings of shutout ball, allowing three hits with no walks and seven strikeouts for Apponequet (7-3, 5-1 SCC). She also went 2-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored. Christina Magnett was 1-for-2 with three walks, an RBI and four runs scored while Morgan Saraceno was 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Lauren Bernaiche was 1-for-1 with a walk, RBI and two runs scored while Arianna Camara  was 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Kate Suneson (1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored) and Gabby DelVecchio (1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored) also contributed.

Seekonk 6, Fairhaven 0: Stella Zangao and Aylin Haworth each had doubles while Arden Bradshaw and Sydney Merusi had a single apiece for Fairhaven (4-7, 2-4 SCC).

Monomoy 11, Wareham 3: Madison Nereu had six strikeouts, including the 200th of her career. She allowed two earned runs on six hits over four innings for Wareham (7-3, 2-1 MAC). She also went 2-for-3 at the plate. Jolee Anderson was 2-for-4 and pitched three innings, allowing two earned runs on two hits with one strikeout. Sawyer Boutin went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored while Emily Brundage was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Dartmouth 24, Brockton 0 (5 innings): Paige Martins was 3-for-4 while Abby Lancaster, Olivia Rapoza and Hannah Garcia each had two hits for Dartmouth. Megan Arruda earned the win, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out nine over five innings.

BOYS TENNIS

Westport 4, Bishop Stang 1: Bishop Stang’s lone win came from Tommy Clavell (2-6, 6-4, 7-5) at second singles.

Dighton-Rehoboth 4, Wareham 1: Ajani Bunting and Brett Brophy won their seventh doubles match of the season 6-2, 6-3 for Wareham (2-6, 0-1 MAC).
