The top of the order with Derek Ochoa, Gavin Nickel and Brian D'Errico helped spark the Barracudas in their playoff opener against Columbia. Clay's Preston Andrews hurled a three-hit shutout against Beachside on April 18, although he pitched in Tuesday's 11-7 win over Ponte Vedra, and Parker Lowrance doubled with an RBI in Clay's 4-0 win. The winner advances to the Monday regional final against Tallahassee Lincoln or Escambia.

REGION 1-2A

St. Joseph (20-8) at Tallahassee NFC (18-6-2), 4 p.m. Saturday

Coming off a comfortable win over Christ's Church, the Flashes now head to a North Florida Christian squad that's always in the hunt. The Eagles could elect to pitch FAMU commit Garrett Workman (7-1, 1.05 ERA, 76 K), while batters Noah Miller, Stone Russo and Ace Walker have an OPS over 1.000. For St. Joseph, Camden Biskup and Aiden Torrez combined for six RBI on Wednesday.
