Scottie Scheffler made it clear that he would have walked away from the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, if his wife had gone into labor. But it's unlikely to happen again during his appearance in Louisville for the PGA Championship in May.

Scheffler brought home his second Masters champion title on Sunday, but in an interview with USA TODAY, he said if his wife, Meredith, had gone into labor with their child, he would've immediately left the course.

“I will definitely enjoy the birth of my first child. But with that being said, I still love competing. My priorities will change here very soon. My son or daughter will now be the main priority, along with my wife, so golf will now be probably fourth in line," Scheffler told USA TODAY. “But I still love competing. I don't plan on taking my eye off the ball anytime soon, that's for sure.”

But with an expected due date in April, Scheffler won't have to worry about missing the delivery, though it's unknown if it will affect his appearance at the Valhalla Golf Club when the PGA Championship tees off on May 13.

According to USA Today, Scheffler entered The Masters as a 400+ favorite, the shortest odds since Tiger Woods was a 350+ favorite in the same tournament in 2013. Woods is also competing in the upcoming PGA Championship, as previously reported by The Courier Journal. Other names to watch include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Ludvig Aberg and more, according to Vegas Insider.
