A four-year standout at Fresno State before transferring to Oregon for his senior year, Williams had a career-high 4.5 sacks at Oregon while totaling 82 tackles as the leader of Oregon’s secondary at safety. Stellar in run support in college, Williams also had a career-high three interceptions in a single season while at Fresno State in 2021.

He had a 14-tackle performance against Washington State in 2023, the most by a Duck since his brother, Bennett, had 14 against Utah in 2022. He had two interceptions in a game while at Fresno State against Wyoming in 2021.

How Evan Williams performed at NFL Combine, Oregon's Pro Day
Williams was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine and had a 4.60-second 40, a 40.5-inch vertical (second among 20 defensive backs), and a 10-foot-6 broad jump (fourth). He improved his 40-time at Oregon's Pro Day, running it in 4.56 and had a 7.10-second three-cone time.
