The 17 MetroWest and Milford area boys lacrosse players to watch in 2024

Welcome to the new age. A generation of All-American boys lacrosse talent graduated out of MetroWest and the Milford area last spring, as 11 of our all-stars were seniors.

The cupboards are far from bare, though. Five of them return from teams who aspire to even more success.

Dover-Sherborn reached the state semifinals for the third year in a row, while Franklin and Lincoln-Sudbury advanced to the Division 1 quarterfinals. There were 17 teams in last year's postseason.

We're about to find out how many will make the push in 2024.

These players should be at the forefront of those charges. Here are 16 boys lacrosse players to watch in MetroWest and the Milford area in 2024:

Flynn Baker, Jr., Franklin

The defender and long-stick midfielder stood out in fall ball after a strong sophomore season. He helped the Panthers reach the Division 1 quarterfinals a year ago.

Ethan Campbell-Gordon, Jr., Lincoln-Sudbury

The long-stick midfielder helped the Warriors get to the Division 1 quarterfinals a year ago. He's coming off a standout football season and will try to smother opposing offenses.

Brady Carroll, Jr., Bellingham

He was a Tri-Valley League All-Star as a sophomore last season. Carroll scored 29 goals with 20 assists. The midfielder also pulled up 48 ground balls.

Logan DelPonte, Sr., Hopkinton

He poured in 51 goals with 40 assists a season ago and was a Tri-Valley League all-star, leading the Hillers to the Division 2 state tournament. DelPonte already had more than 100 goals in his career and is a two-time unanimous TVL All-Star. He'll continue his career at St. Bonaventure next season.

Max Gaudette, So., Hudson

The Marlborough High School student was a Division 2 Central Mass. honorable mention selection for the Hawks last spring.

Nate Gulachenski, Sr., Algonquin

The goalie was the Mid-Wach A MVP after stopping 68 percent of the shots he faced. The Titans powered to the Division 1 Round of 16. Gulachenski also plays forward for Algonquin's hockey team and wants to score a goal on the lacrosse field this spring.

Luke Harwich, So., St. Mark's

He announced his presence at the high school level at Algonquin a season ago with 59 goals and 39 assists. He was a USA Lacrosse All-American and a Mid-Wach A all-star, as the Titans advanced to the Division 1 Sweet 16. Harwich transferred to St. Mark's for his sophomore season.

Thomas Liddy, Sr., Blackstone Valley Tech

Fresh of a Central Mass. hockey championship, the Beavers captain is aiming for more hardware outdoors this spring. He was a Central Mass. Division 4 honorable mention all-star a year ago.

Charlie Lieb, Sr., Wayland

The attacker was named a DCL all-star last season. The Warriors reached the Division 3 Round of 16.

Austin Lynch, Sr., Wellesley

The midfielder was named a Bay State conference all-star a season ago. The Raiders advanced to the Division 1 Sweet 16 after an overtime victory over Winchester. He plays club lacrosse for 3D New England.

Jackson Mastroianni, Blackstone Valley Tech

Jackson Mastroianni, Sr. Blackstone Valley Tech

He was a Colonial Athletic League All-Star for the second year in a row. Mastroianni poured in 69 goals with 41 assists for a Central Mass.-leading 110 points. The Beavers reached the Division 4 state tournament. He plays club lacrosse for Penguins Select Lacrosse.

James Nolan, So., Wellesley

He made the Bay State Conference all-star team as a freshman last year. Nolan led the Raiders in points with 86 as well as goals (46) and assists (40) en route to being named the team's offensive MVP. He played on the Nike National All-Star Team for New England over the summer.

Jacob Parenteau, Sr., Nipmuc

He was a Central Mass. Division 3 honorable mention all-star last year. The Warriors reached the state tournament and fell in an overtime thriller against Shawsheen Valley.

Wyatt Pastore, Sr., Dover-Sherborn

He was a captain as a junior and scored 62 goals with 15 assists a season ago. The Raiders have reached the state semifinals in all three years of his varsity career. Pastore is a two-time TVL all-star with 120 goals. He also plays golf and skis for D-S

Calvin Pendergast, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury

The Salve Regina commit will be part of a dangerous midfield duo for the Warriors. The long stick midfielder and defender was a key part of L-S' trip to the D1 quarterfinals a year ago.

Jack Provencher, Sr., Hopkinton

The long stick midfielder was named a TVL all-star. He will serve as a captain in Hopkinton in 2024. Provencher also plays for the Coyotes Lacrosse Club.

Dylan Sullivan, Sr., Tri-County

The midfielder and face off guy was a Mayflower all-star a season ago. The Cougars qualified for the Division 4 state tournament.
