The New York Knicks have signed free-agent Pablo Prigioni, who was the starting point guard for the Argentinian national team that played Team USA in an exhibition game last week.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 6-3 Prigioni is 35 years old and has played professionally since 1995, primarily in the Argentine and Spanish leagues.

He was a key member of the Argentina team that won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and is scheduled to play in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

He had eight points and six assists in 33 minutes of action for Argentina in the 86-80 loss to Team USA.
