WATCH: Alabama blocks punt and scoops it up for a TD

Alabama has already gotten off to a hot start against Louisiana Monroe. Quarterback Bryce Young delivered a strike to wide receiver Traeshon Holden for a 33-yard touchdown pass to kick off the game. Then, outside linebacker Will Anderson caught a pick-six to give the Crimson Tide an early 14-0 lead.

After a three-and-out on the following Warhawks’ offensive drive, the Crimson Tide sent the house and blocked the Warhawks’ punt. Wide receiver Ja’Corey Brooks broke through the front line to block Devyn McCormick’s punt. Cornerback Malachi Moore had a scoop and score to put the Crimson Tide up 21-0 with just under nine minutes remaining in the first quarter.
