Vote for the SouthCoast High School Baseball Player of the Week for April 29-May 5

The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Nikko Morris. He had more than 3,000 votes (46%) to receive the honor.

Morris went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI against Case. Against West Bridgewater, he was 1-for-2 with a run scored, stolen base and RBI.

Previous winners were Fairhaven’s Scott Joseph, Old Colony’s Marc Donati and New Bedford’s Brent Sharples. The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was GNB Voc-Tech’s Illiam Santiago.

'He's our guy': Rego goes from reliever to Dartmouth's ace in one year

Dylan Bradley, Apponequet

Bradley pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out four with three hits and two walks against GNB Voc-Tech. He also had a triple and two RBIs against Dartmouth.

Brody Joly, Apponequet

Against Dartmouth, Joly had three hits and three RBIs. he also had a hit and RBI against Old Rochester.

Nathan Levesque, Apponequet

Against East Bridgewater, Levesque pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out 13 with 0 walks while scattering five hits. He had one hit and one RBI at the plate.

Lucas Tremblay, Apponequet

In four games, Tremblay had a combined five hits and two RBIs.

Landon Cardoza, Bishop Stang

Cardoza pitched five innings, allowing one run on two hits with no walks while striking out 10 against Cardinal Spellman.

Nicholas Nasiff, Bishop Stang

In a win over Cardinal Spellman, Nasiff went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Brock Winslow, Bishop Stang

In two games, Winslow went a combined 2-for-5 with a walk and five runs scored.

Donovan Burgo, Dartmouth

In four games, Burgo had a combined five hits and one RBI.

Ian Rego, Dartmouth

In a win over New Bedford, Rego allowed two hits and four walks while striking six. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Tom Quinn, Dartmouth

Quinn had a combined five hits and three RBIs and four games for Dartmouth.

Tommy Marcotte, Fairhaven

In three games, Marcotte went a combined 5-for-8 with an RBI.

Nikko Morris, Fairhaven

Morris went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and run scored in a win over Nauset. He also went 1-for-4 against Seekonk.

Jason Perry, Fairhaven

Perry struck out 12 and allowed just one hit over five innings against Seekonk.

Ryan Pires, Fairhaven

Pires threw his third complete game of the season, allowing two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine against Nauset.

Jhaden Reis, GNB Voc-Tech

In a loss to Apponequet, Reis led the Bears with two hits.

Joe Castelo, New Bedford

Castelo threw a complete-game shutout against Oliver Ames, allowing three hits and four walks while striking out four. He also had a run-scoring single and scored a run.

Trevor Roderiques, New Bedford

In three games, Roderiques had a combined three hits. He also walked twice and stole two bases against Oliver Ames.

Jayden Sylvia, New Bedford

In a loss to Dartmouth, Sylvia allowed just one unearned run off four hits and one walk while striking out eight over six innings.

Chase LaFountain, Old Colony

In a win over Norfolk Aggie, LaFountain allowed no runs on one hit and no walks with 10 strikeouts over four innings. LaFountain was 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

Jacob Wojnar, Old Colony

Against Norfolk Aggie, Wojnar went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Colin Mello, Old Rochester

In a loss to Case, Mello went five innings, allowing nine hits and three walks while striking out four. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double

Donovan Leonardi, Wareham

In a doubleheader against Holbrook, Leonardi went a combined 5-for-7 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Issac Strawn, Wareham

In a win over Holbrook in the first game of a doubleheader, Strawn earned the win on the mound for Wareham, pitching seven innings, giving up five hits, one walk and one earned run.

Jason White, Wareham

In the second game of a doubleheader against Holbrook, White pitched four innings while striking out 10 batters and giving up two runs on three hits.
