The fall high school sports season concluded Saturday night with one Lane County football team taking home a state title.

This week's Register-Guard Athlete of the Week nominees are:

  • JaMar Thurman, Lowell football

  • Carter Harris, Lowell football

  • Louie Estrada, Lowell football

  • Rowan Files, Lowell football

JaMar Thurman, Lowell football

JaMar Thurman rushed for five touchdowns and caught another for 296 total yards in the Devils' 74-42 victory over Weston-McEwen in the OSAA Class 2A state title.

Carter Harris completed 11 of 17 passes and four touchdowns for 270 yards in the Devils' 74-42 victory over Weston-McEwen in the OSAA Class 2A state title.
