UNC basketball tickets in 2024 NCAA Tournament: Prices, how to buy
North Carolina basketball won’t know its NCAA Tournament opponent until Tuesday night, but the top-seeded Tar Heels will face No. 16 Howard or No. 16 Wagner on Thursday (2:45 p.m., CBS) in Charlotte.
UNC (27-7), the No. 1 seed in the West Region, is back in March Madness after missing the 2023 postseason. The Tar Heels won the ACC regular-season championship before losing to NC State in the championship game of the ACC Tournament.
The Bison (18-16) and Seahawks (16-15) play Tuesday in Dayton as part of the First Four. The winner will head to the Spectrum Center, home of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, for a matchup with UNC.
If the Tar Heels win, they would face No. 8 Mississippi State (21-13) or No. 9 Michigan State (19-14) on Saturday with a spot in the Sweet 16 up for grabs.
