Tuesday's Top Prep Performers from girls golf, girls volleyball and girls flag football
Highlights from Tuesday in high school sports:
GIRLS GOLF
Sunny Wang and Alesia Barry each shot a 6-under 66 to share medalist honors as Oaks Christian finished with a 391 team score to win the sixth and final Marmonte League tournament at River Ridge Golf Course. The Lions won each league tournament and finished as the league's regular-season and tournament champions to qualify for the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 team tournament, which is set for Oct. 30 at Los Serranos Golf Course. Wang and Barry finished tied for first with a two-round total of 8-under 136 in the individual tournament to earn league co-MVPs and automatically qualify for the CIF-SS Individual Tournament. Three Agoura players qualified for CIF: Lillian Spratt shot a 4-under 68 and finished with a 141 to take third place overall; Jayden Peters shot a 77 and finished with a 148 for fourth place; and Addison Kloch shot an 86 and finished with a 160 to place seventh. Calabasas had two players qualify for CIF: Julia Canales shot a 76 and finished with a 151 for fifth place and Ash Gonzalez had an 81 and finished with a 158 for sixth place. The CIF-SS Northern Regional Individual Tournament will be played Oct. 25 at Los Robles Greens Golf Course.
Kiley Reisner fired a 4-under 31 to earn medalist honors and lead Simi Valley (8-6) to a 211-242 win over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match at Simi Hills Golf Course.
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Channel Islands earned a 3-0 sweep over Los Amigos in a CIF-SS Division 8 wild-card match. The Raiders will play at Jurupa Valley in a first-round match on Thursday.
Newbury Park Adventist defeated Ambassador Christian in straight sets in a CIF-SS Division 9 wild-card match. The Gators will play at New Harvest Christian in a first-round match on Thursday.
Beacon Hill defeated International School of Los Angeles in four sets in a CIF-SS Division 9 wild-card match. The Gryphons will play at Acaciawood Academy in a first-round match on Thursday.
GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL
Oxnard defeated Santa Barbara 21-14 to improve to 13-5 on the season.
Newbury Park defeated Ventura 39-27.
