Tipoff, broadcast information set for Sweet 16 clash between UNC and Alabama

North Carolina punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with Saturday’s win over Michigan State and it is headed to Los Angeles. Waiting for them out west will be No. 4 seed Alabama after the Crimson Tide held off an upset-minded Grand Canyon team.

With the two teams being two wins away from Phoenix and the Final Four, the stakes are high. And we now know the time for the game.

The game will be the second of two games in Los Angeles, tipping off approximately 9:40 p.m. ET on CBS. The broadcast crew of Brian Anderson, Jim Jackson and Allie LaForce will have the call. They did UNC’s first two games in Charlotte as well.

Prior to North Carolina and Alabama facing off, No. 6 Clemson and No. 2 Arizona will meet at 7:09 p.m. ET. The UNC start time is tentative as it will be after that first game.

Other games Thursday night include UConn facing off against Yale or San Diego State and Illinois and Iowa State meeting afterward.
