Thursday's Top Prep Performers: Adam Arth hits for the cycle in Foothill Tech win

Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

BASEBALL

  • Adam Arth hit for the cycle — single, double, triple and home run — in four at-bats and finished with five RBIs, Bronson Taylor went 2 for 3, Shane White was 1 for 2 with a double, Casey Cooper, Robert Juker and Aiden Gomez had RBIs, Jude Jimenez, Conner Nelles and Jackson Venti each pitched two scoreless innings, and Jackson Basurto pitched a scoreless inning to lead Foothill Tech (9-11-1, 2-0) to a 10-0 win over Villanov Prep in a Frontier League game.

  • Dylan Volantis allowed three hits and two runs while striking out eight in four innings to improve to 5-0 on the mound this season, Dylan Ramsey pitched two scoreless innings, Connor Jacobson pitched a scoreless inning, Nolan Johnson had a home run and two RBIs, Kaden Youmans was 2 for 4 with three RBIs ,and Mason Berlinger and Mason Charles each went 1 for 2 with an RBI to lead Westlake (17-3, 6-2) to a 14-2 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League game. Braden Oliver was 1 for 4 with an RBI and Carter Roberts was 1 for 1 with two walks and an RBI for the Chargers (12-10, 2-6).

  • McKenzie Parks went 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Chris Tampoya was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Josh Brown was 1 for 2 with an RBI, James Latshaw was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Quentin Young went 2 for 5, Jack Laubacher was 1 for 2 with a double, and Tyler Hanley allowed one earned run while striking out six in six innings to lead Oaks Christian (10-10, 5-3) to a 9-5 win over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Paul Lizzul went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Cameron Fausset was 2 for 3 with a double, Luke Medhurst was 2 for 4, Owen Meli had two RBIs, Tyler Field and Cole Munyon had RBIs, and Justin Frohn allowed three runs while striking out seven in four innings for the Panthers (12-7, 4-4).

  • Simon Hoffman went 3 for 5 with a grand slam, double and seven RBIs, Lee Atkinson allowed one earned run while striking out five in five innings, Nate Castellon was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Matt Shulman was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Brandon Hoffman had a double and two RBIs, and Will Stubington was 1 for 4 with an RBI to lead Calabasas (14-6, 6-2) to a 14-2 win over Thousand Oaks (8-12, 1-7) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Kyle Casey allowed four hits and one run in five innings, Hector Pina was 1 for 2 with an RBI, Landen Adair went 2 for 3, and Quentin McGahan was 1 for 3 with a double for Simi Valley (10-9-2) in its 4-3 loss to Saugus in a nonleague game.

  • Lucas Martinov went 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Nico Kajiwara was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Noah Cooper finished 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI, and Nate Slaton allowed five hits and no earned runs in six innings to lead Grace Brethren (9-10, 3-0) to a 5-4 victory over Thacher in a Tri-Valley League game.

SOFTBALL

  • Taylor Cook struck out eight while allowing four earned runs in a complete-game effort and was 2 for 2 at the plate, Janessa Gutierrez was 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Yasmin Topinko hit a solo homer, Alyssa Carpenter went 3 for 4 with a double, Lily Johnson was 2 for 2, and Sydney Swayne and Nikki Kennedy had RBIs to lead Newbury Park (14-4, 3-4) to a 6-5 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League game. Mia Gomez hit a three-run homer, Jordy Charash went 2 for 3 with and RBI, and Briona Ferdman was 2 for 4 for the Chargers (9-6, 5-2).

  • Terrianna Kelley went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, Lily Knox hit a three-run homer, Gia Otani was 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Sienna Reynolds allowed three runs in four innings to earn the win, and Paityn Lave pitched three scoreless innings to earn the save as Oaks Christian (17-2, 7-0) stayed perfect in the Marmonte League with a 7-3 win over Thousand Oaks. Samantha Case went 2 for 2 with a homer and two RBIs, Claire Kirby was 3 for 3 with a double, Morgan Casillas went 2 for 4, and Lauren Snyder had a hit and an RBI for the Lancers (10-9, 2-5).

  • Mia Morera went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Cat Anzalone was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Samy Gallegos finished 1 for 3 with two RBIs, Amanda Baldwin was 1 for 4 with an RBI, Caroline Habermann and Dayna Woodford each had two RBIs, and Linden McCarl struck out three in 4.1 innings and was 1 for 1 with two walks and an RBI to lead Westlake (11-5, 4-3) to an 11-1 win over Calabasas in a Marmonte League game.

  • Rachel Godoy pitched six no-hit innings with six strikeouts and one walk and went 2 for 4 with two doubles and an RBI at the plate, Grace Ramirez was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Azaria Aguilar went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and Leea Martinez was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead St. Bonaventure (16-2-1, 4-1) to a 13-1 win over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Madison Finnerty allowed one hit while striking out eight in 6.1 innings and was 1 for 2 with an RBI, Driana Martinez went 4 for 5 with a double and four RBIs, Sydney Burckhard was 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs, Daniela Isarraras was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI, Rylee Reljin had a double and scored three runs, and Terra Hothan went 2 for 3 with two runs scored to lead Moorpark (8-7, 2-3) to an 11-0 win over Oak Park in a Coastal Canyon League game. Bella Jauregui had a double for the Eagles (8-10, 1-4).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • JP Mawas had 27 assists, Danny Guerrero finished with 15 kills and three blocks, Mac Land had eight kills, and Jacob Liporada had nine digs to lead Oxnard (13-12, 5-4) to a 25-11, 25-18, 25-22 sweep of Buena in a Channel League match.

  • JF Referente had nine kills, Daniel Shander had nine kills and four digs, Karsen Shaw had seven kills and a block, and Adael Perez had three kills, three blocks and two aces for Rio Mesa in its 25-21, 25-21, 25-17 loss to San Marcos in a Channel League match.

  • Oak Park defeated Agoura 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Royal defeated Simi Valley 25-15, 25-17, 23-25, 25-15 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Morgan Wolff shared medalist honors with a 3-over 74 and Raj Hundal shot a 77 to lead Camarillo (10-3, 6-0) to a 401-416 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League match at Simi Hills Golf Course. Jack Parkinson shared medalist honors with a 74 and Jack Mols had an 81 for the Highlanders (1-4, 1-4).

  • Nick Benton earned medalist honors with a 72 and Graham Christopher shot a 76 to lead Oaks Christian to a 380-411 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League match at Sterling Hills Golf Course. Aidan Peters shot a 78 and Stephen Herring and Lucas Peterson each had an 82 for the Panthers.

BOYS LACROSSE

  • Colton Winsick had six goals and seven assists, Grey Stevens finished with five goals and three assists, Micah DeCloedt had four goals and an assist, and Tyler Kang had two goals and three assists as Oak Park defeated Simi Valley 19-6 for its eight consecutive victory.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Karthik Tholudur and Jason Kiang swept their doubles sets as Newbury Park defeated Oaks Christian in games, 80-78, after the teams tied in sets at 9-9 in a Marmonte League match.

  • Shaurya Shyam swept his singles sets to lead Foothill Tech (9-2, 6-0) to a 13-5 win over Thacher in a Tri-Valley League match.

BOYS SWIMMING

  • Camarillo defeated Royal 114-50 and Moorpark 132-11 and Royal defeated Moorpark 103-14 competed in a tri-Coastal Canyon League meet at Camarillo High. For Camarillo, Paul Patterson won the 200 freestyle (1:50.53). Noah Takano won the 200 IM (2:11.13). Stefano Pozzi won the 50 freestyle (23.17) and 100 freestyle (50.52). Jimmy Davis won the 100 butterfly (58.94). Andy Beahan won the 500 freestyle (5:14.78). Jackson Mulchay won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.03). For Royal, Matthieu Fresco won the 100 backstroke (58.20).

GIRLS SWIMMING

  • Camarillo defeated Royal 127-27 and Moorpark 130-22 and Royal defeated Moorpark 42-37 competed in a tri-Coastal Canyon League meet at Camarillo High. For Camarillo, Kaley Robison won the 200 freestyle (2:19.50). Carissa Clay won the 50 freestyle (27.59). Lila Gomez-Smith won the 100 butterfly (1:08.05) and 100 backstroke (1:09.84). For Moorpark, Chloe Cheevers won the 200 IM (2:26.48) and 500 freestyle (5:47.92). For Royal, Faith Marshall won the 100 freestyle (59.70) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.18).
