Highlights from Tuesday in high school sports:

BASEBALL

  • Jacob Roa pitched a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts, throwing 55 of his 73 pitches for strikes, Austin DeMello went 2 for 2 with two doubles and an RBI, Danny Banuelos was 3 for 3 with a double, and Gavin Samora went 2 for 3 with a double to lead Rio Mesa (12-6-1, 6-3) to a 4-0 victory over Ventura in a Channel League game. Jon Gurrola had two hits for the Cougars (12-10, 6-3).

  • Sal Lopez went 2 for 4, Bobby Ramirez and JJ Carmona each had a hit and an RBI, and Alex Villicana allowed five hits and one earned run while striking out nine in a complete-game effort to lead Pacifica (8-10-1, 4-5) to a 6-3 win over Buena in a Channel League game. Erick Barron was 2 for 4 for the Bulldogs (2-17, 1-8).

  • Oxnard (9-11, 2-7) lost to Dos Pueblos 12-6 in a Channel League game.

  • Andrew Habermann allowed two runs in five innings, Kaden Youmans was 1 for 3 with an RBI and pitched 1.1 scoreless innings for the win on the mound, Dillon Marrisett went 2 or 3 with an RBI, Johnny Backus hit a solo homer, and Mason Berlinger was 3 for 3 with three runs scored to lead Westlake (16-3, 5-2) to a 7-5 victory over Agoura in a Marmonte League game. Jack Gewert went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Will Michelman was 2 for 4 with two RBIs, and Timber Ibanez was 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Chargers (12-9, 2-5).

  • Grayson Paul allowed five hits and a run while striking out five in a complete-game effort, Paul Lizzul was 1 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, and Andrew Vega went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Newbury Park (12-6, 4-3) to a 3-1 win over Oaks Christian in a Marmonte League game. Jack Laubacher allowed three hits and two earned runs in six innings and Elijah Clayton was 1 for 2 with an RBI for the Lions (9-10, 4-3).

  • Jordan Kingston allowed two hits while striking out five in six scoreless innings, Nate Castellon was 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Brandon Hoffman went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Simon Hoffman was 3 for 3 with two runs scored, Will Stubington went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Matthew Witkow was 2 for 5, and AJ Seidel was 1 for 4 with an RBI to lead Calabasas (13-6, 5-2) to an 8-0 victory over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League game. John McDermott went 2 for 3 for the Lancers (8-11, 1-6).

  • Jackson Goshorn allowed three hits and a run in six innings and Evan Rodriguez went 3 for 3 for Simi Valley (10-8-2) in its 1-0 loss to West Ranch in a nonleague game.

  • Adam Arth went 3 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs, David Arth was 2 for 3 with a two-run homer, Robert Juker was 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, Shane White went 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI, and Tristan Stehle was 2 for 3 with a double to lead Foothill Tech (8-11-1, 1-0) to a 24-1, five-inning win over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League game.

SOFTBALL

  • Amanda Baldwin went 4 for 5 with a homer and three RBIs, Samy Gallegos was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Cambria Finnegan had a double and two RBIs, Mia Morera was 2 for 5, and Oliva Ziebell-White went 1 for 4 with an RBI to lead Westlake (10-5, 3-3) to a 9-4, eight-inning win over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Yasmin Topinko hit a three-run home run, Janessa Gutierrez had a solo homer, and Hanna Porter went 2 for 4 for the Panthers (13-4, 2-4).

  • Rylee McCoy went 3 for 3 with a double, two home runs and four RBIs, Terrianna Kelley was 3 for 4 with two homers and three RBIs, Lily Knox finished 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Kamryn Guthrie was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs, and Emmy Davis allowed one run on two hits in five innings to lead Oaks Christian (16-2, 6-0) to a 16-1, five-inning win over Calabasas in a Marmonte League game.

  • Amaya Del Olmo was 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs, Mia Gomez went 2 for 5 with a homer and two RBIs, Briona Ferdman was 3 for 5 with a double and an RBI, Jordy Charash was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Jayden Pollon went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Aurelia Ehry went 2 for 5 with an RBI, and Sloan Briggs allowed one run in 4.1 innings to lead Agoura (9-5, 4-1) to a 14-3 win over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League game. Ava Seeger went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, Morgan Casillas was 2 for 4, and Ella Neale went 2 for 3 for the Lancers (9-8, 2-4).

  • Rosy Salazar allowed six hits and no earned runs while striking out five and was 2 for 3 with a double at the plate, Grace Maguire was 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI, Cam Kenny went 3 for 3, and Ava DePew was 1 for 3 with two RBIs to lead Grace Brethren (13-1-1, 2-0) to a 4-2 victory over St. Bonaventure in a Tri-Valley League game. Izzy Padilla had a triple, Azaria Aguilar went 2 for 3, and Hudson Ortiz and Hallie Barlow each had a hit and an RBI for the Seraphs (15-2-1, 3-1).

  • Camarillo defeated Notre Dame 7-3 in a nonleague game.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Westlake defeated Oaks Christian 76-60 a Marmonte League meet. Jai Bell won the 110 hurdles (15.7). Kai Bennett won the 400 (53.24). Dante Deshautelle won the high jump (5-10). Cade Sommers won the pole vault (15-07) and triple jump (44-00.25). Malikai Bowens won the long jump (19-07.50). Lawson Grace won the discus (133-05). For Oaks Christian, Christian Yoder won the 1,600 (4:36.18). Weston Schwesinger won the 100 (10.81) and 200 (21.74). Joshua Mitchell won the 800 (2:02.54) and 3,200 (11:04.19). Prince Williams won the 300 hurdles (42.11). Holden Lee won the shot put (48-05).

  • Fillmore defeated Malibu 84-37 in a Citrus Coast League meet. For Fillmore, Eduardo Vigil won the 1,600 (4:38.67). Sebastian Torres won the 200 (24.86) and 400 (54.96). Abel Villela won the 100 (12.29). Mauricio Ocegueda won the 300 hurdles (49.39). Angel Garcia won the 3,200 (10:45.15). Saul Fraga-Sandoval won the triple jump (36-04). Daniel Viveros won the shot put (44-03). Anthony Tafoya won the discus (138-04). John Jimenez won the high jump (5-02).

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Oaks Christian defeated Westlake 77-59 in a Marmonte League meet. Kate Walker won the 1,600 (5:19.30). Niya Clayton won the 100 (11.91) and 100 hurdles (15.36). Rayah Rodriguez won the 400 (57.58). Grace Geyer won the 800 (2:26.26) and 3,200 (12:03.53). Kyra Terry won the 200 (24.68). Imani Clayton won the high jump (4-08). Chiara Baker won the shot put (28-02). For Westlake, Claudia Turner won the 300 hurdles (47.89) and pole vault (10-06). Amanda Eames won the long jump (17-0). Brooke Beck won the triple jump (32-11.75). Cyera Washington won the discus (70-06).

  • Fillmore defeated Malibu 87-33 in a Citrus Coast League meet. For Fillmore, Joseline Orozco won the 1,600 (5:58.38). Emelie Magana won the 100 hurdles (20.14). Mia Munoz won the 100 (13.80). Diana Santa Rosa won the 800 (2:39.97). Michelle Setty won the 300 hurdles (1:04.8). Niza Laureano won the 3,200 (12:57.05). Daniela Curiel won the shot put (25-06). Aerin Garcia won the discus (84-06).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Mac Land and Caiden Aguilar each had 15 kills, JP Mawas finished with 42 assists and three kills, and Danny Guerrero had 12 kills and four blocks to lead Oxnard (13-13, 4-4) to a 25-14, 25-23, 26-28, 25-20 win over Ventura in a Channel League match. Theo Souther-Pasquarella had 29 assists, seven digs and two aces, Victor Villaloboz had six kills, two blocks and two aces, Scott Vreeland had eight kills, and Sam Quiroz and Max Mechtenberg each had six kills for the Cougars.

  • Camarillo defeated Simi Valley 26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Oak Park defeated Moorpark 25-13, 25-8, 25-14 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Max Emberson claimed medalist honors by shooting a school-record 65, Jared Abercrombie shot his third straight 67, and Nick Benton and Graham Christopher each had a 70 as Oak Christian finished with a school-record 350 to take first again in a Marmonte League tournament at River Ridge Golf Club's Victoria Lakes course. Westlake was second with a386.

  • Raj Hundal earned medalist honors with a 75, Tristan Straw and Morgan Wolff each shot an 82, and Tyler Meister and Shane Frank each had an 83 as Camarillo improved to 5-0 in the Coastal Canyon League with a 405-435 win over Oak Park at par-71 Las Posas Country Club. Alex Cheng shot a 76 to lead the Eagles.

BOYS LACROSSE

  • Colton Winsick finished with nine goals and two assists, Jayden Mehta had three goals and two assists, Micah DeCloedt had two goals and three assists, Tyler Kang scored two goals, and Calder Cicinelli had a goal and two assists as Oak Park defeated Glendale 19-1 for its seventh straight victory.

  • Grace Brethren defeated Royal 10-4 to improve to 6-5 on the season.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Drew Koval and Addy Borhade led the way on Senior Night as Oak Park defeated Moorpark 14-4 to improve to 11-0 overall and 5-0 in the Coastal Canyon League.

  • Camarillo defeated Simi Valley 10-8 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Kei Ohya swept his singles sets and Karthik Tholudur and Jason Kiang swept their doubles sets to lead Newbury Park to a 15-3 win over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League match.

  • Oak Christian defeated Thousand Oaks 14-4 to improve to 6-5 overall and 4-3 in the Marmonte League.

  • Charlie Powers swept his singles sets and Dylan Files and Greg Davis swept their doubles sets to lead Foothill Tech (8-2, 5-0) to a 11-7 win over Cate in a Tri-Valley League match.

BOYS SWIMMING

  • Camarillo defeated Newbury Park 111-58 in a nonleague meet. Ben Butler won the 200 freestyle (1:53.38) and 500 freestyle (5:12.87). Noah Takano won the 200 IM (2:09.65) and 100 backstroke (58.77). Stefano Pozzi won the 50 freestyle (22.77). Jimmy Davis won the 100 butterfly (57.77). Paul Patterson won the 100 freestyle (48.73) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.45).

  • Rio Mesa defeated Pacifica 117-43 in a Channel League meet. Parker Steen won the 200 freestyle (2:01.51). Camilo Solis won the 50 freestyle (25.91). Jaiden Monroe won the 100 butterfly (53.17) and 100 backstroke (56.03). Parker Steen won the 100 freestyle (53.68). Ceasar Nava won the 500 freestyle (5:46.51). Lucas Cornejo won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.21). For Pacifica, George Arce won the 200 IM (2:26.76).

GIRLS SWIMMING

  • Newbury Park defeated Camarillo 100-70 in a nonleague meet. Caroline Nyborg won the 200 freestyle (2:10.03) and 100 butterfly (1:05.21). Megan Wang won the 50 freestyle (24.75) and 100 freestyle (54.74). Stella Holzkamp won the 100 breaststroke (1:18.84). For Camarillo, Analee Lam won the 200 IM (2:32.33). Kyla Kitchen won the 500 freestyle (6:09.45). Lila Gomez Smith won the 100 backstroke (1:09.78).

  • Rio Mesa defeated Pacifica 92-62 in a Channel League meet. Danica Jauregui won the 200 freestyle (2:23.08) and 500 freestyle (6:28.30). Alex Williams won the 200 IM (3:11.49). Lucy Grooms won the 50 freestyle (28.62) and 100 freestyle (1:05.11). Marisol Chan won the 100 butterfly (1:26.45). Alexandra Alfaro won the 100 backstroke (1:25.06). For Pacifica, Jessica Cuecuecha Perez won the 100 breaststroke (1:33.26).
