Oregon Ducks stay at No. 3 in latest College Football Playoff rankings, ahead of Ohio State
The jump that we all knew would take place at some point has finally happened.
The jump that we all are expecting to happen at some point this year is still in the waiting.
The latest release of the College Football Playoff standings have the Oregon Ducks staying at No. 3 in the rankings, with Ohio State at No. 4
It would not have been a massive shock to see OSU jump up to No. 3, since this past week they had an impressive blowout win over No. 19 Purdue. Oregon is also coming off of a 38-24 win over Washington State.
Here is out the rest of the top-10 shook out in the third installment of the rankings:

Alabama
Oregon
Ohio State
Cincinnati
Michigan
Michigan State
Notre Dame
Oklahoma State
Wake Forest
It will be hard for the Ducks to move up any further in the rankings unless one of the top-2 teams ends up losing in the coming weeks. Of course, Ohio State faces off against Michigan State this week, and Georgia and Alabama are still set to meet later this season as well.
None of it matters if the Ducks can’t take care of business this weekend against No. 23 Utah, though. So let’s start there.
