OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball will be out to score its second SEC series win of the season when it hosts Kentucky for a three-game set beginning on Friday.
The Rebels (18-8, 3-3 SEC) dropped their most recent weekend set to Tennessee before bouncing back in midweek action with a victory over Austin Peay. They've won all of their home series so far this season.
Kentucky (21-4, 5-1) is off to a strong start in SEC play. The Wildcats swept Georgia, then took two out of three from Mizzou.

Game 1: Kentucky 5, Ole Miss 3
The Rebels beat themselves in the first game of the series, allowing three unearned runs to spoil a fantastic Friday night start from Riley Maddox, who went 5.2 innings and allowed three hits and one unearned run. Ole Miss' bats went 1-for-16 with runners on base, with the lone hit coming on Ethan Lege's two-run homer.
Game 2: Kentucky 17, Ole Miss 9
After committing three errors Friday, the Rebels issues another terrible defensive effort with six errors in Saturday's loss. Liam Doyle turned in his worst start in an Ole Miss uniform, failing to escape the third inning as the Wildcats tagged him for six runs. Mason Morris and Brayden Jones struggled out of the bullpen, too.
Game 3: Kentucky 15, Ole Miss 1
Ole Miss was out of this one by the time the first inning ended. Starter Gunnar Dennis got just two outs, and the Rebels' bullpen faltered in the middle innings. Ole Miss issued eight free passes as it endured a run-rule defeat.
