LSU Baseball Rankings: Tigers No. 1 no longer after dropping series to Auburn

There’s a new No. 1 in college baseball. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have taken over the consensus top spot this week after earning a ranked series win over Boston College over the weekend.

LSU fell from its top spot after losing two out of three games last weekend on the plains to the Auburn Tigers. Other than Paul Skenes, LSU’s starting pitching has not been good at all and it finally came back to bite them.

What a turn of events for the Auburn Tigers. Three weeks ago, the Tigers looked like they may not even make the SEC tournament. Now, they have beaten the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country in back-to-back weeks.

Here’s how the national rankings break down this week.
