Mar. 22—DANVILLE — Juwan Maxey had his third straight double-digit scoring game in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament on Friday morning at the Mary Miller Center.
Maxey had a game-high 27 as the Macomb Community College defeated Iowa Lakes Community College 92-86 in a consolation bracket contest.
In the previous two rounds, Maxey had games of 10 and 13 points for the Monarchs. Other in double figures for Macomb were Josh Hines (15), Nate Brown (14) and DeMaryon Fishburn (10).
Iowa Lakes was led by Blake Kooiman with 18 points followed by Jhordan Ryan with 16 and Jaedan Jefferson had 15.
