NIC girls track: Glenn's Goodsell, Washington's Swanson win three events: Penn takes team title.

Penn's Mary Eubank swept the distance events and the Kingsmen won two field events to claim the team title at the girls track and field Northern Indiana Conference meet at Elkhart Wednesday night.

John Glenn freshman Lydia Goodsell was a triple event winner. Goodsell won the 100 (12.39), the 200 (25.57) and won the long jump (18-5).

Penn outdistanced host Elkhart, 141-72.5, while South Bend Adams edged South Saint Joseph, 66.5-65, for third place.

Eubank won the 1,600 (5:11.93) and the 3,200 (11:50.96) to pace the Kingsmen. Jill Pletcher (pole vault, 10-0) and Anna McCullough (high jump, 5-0) were also winners for Penn.

South Bend Washington sophomore Adriana Swanson won both hurdles events, the 100 (time not available) and the 300 (46.39) and anchroed the winning 4x100 relay team (50.38). Terryah Leonard was also a part of the Panthers winning relay team and won the 400 (59.67). The other two members of the relay team are Janiya Wilson and Kendall Ivory.

Lauren Frick of Saint Joseph won the 800 (2:24.63), Brooklyn King of Jimtown won the shot put (37-10) and Ava Decker of Elkhart won the discus (134-10).

Adams' 4x800 of Elisa Bulaoro, Emily Shepherd, Isabella Soens and Agnes Hasler won in 9:50.10 and Bremen's 4x400 relay squad of Sara Sahlhoff, Elle Libey, Kila Foster and Emma Kincaid won in 4:06.87.
