Memphis Grizzlies sign forward Killian Tillie to a two-year contract, waive Sam Merrill

The Memphis Grizzles have signed forward Killian Tillie to a two-year contract. Terms of the deal announced Saturday were not released.

The Grizzlies also waived guard Sam Merrill, who appeared in six games this season, and signed guard Tyrell Terry to a two-way contract.

The 6-foot-10 Tillie has played in 40 games in two seasons with the Grizzlies, averaging 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per game.

Tillie has played in 22 games this season and is averaging 3.4 points and 1.2 rebounds.

The former Gonzaga standout was not selected in the 2020 NBA Draft and was signed to a two-wat contract of the Grizzlies in November of 2020.

Merrill averaged 4.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game this season. He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 60th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He was acquired by the Grizzlies on Aug. 7, 2021.

Terry was the 31st overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Stanford. He has appeared in 13 games in two seasons.
