The Tennessee Titans needed protection on the line for second-year quarterback Will Levis, and though it may not be the man everyone expected, after Joe Alt went at No. 5 to the San Diego Chargers, they got just that in Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham.

Where did JC Latham go to college?

Latham attended Alabama for three years, starting at right tackle in his final two seasons.

Latham was named first-team All-SEC last season and second-team All-American by the FWAA after starting all 14 games last season. He also was on the Outland Trophy watch list, given to the best interior lineman in college football.

Latham played at right tackle in each of his final two seasons at Alabama.

While left tackle was a hole the Titans looked likely to fill with the No. 7 pick, they pivoted after the Chargers selected Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt at No. 5. Latham was widely regarded as the next best offensive lineman in the 2024 draft class.

Latham was a key member of an Alabama offensive line that made it to the College Football Playoff last season. Providing protection for quarterback Jalen Milroe, who threw for 23 touchdowns and 2,834 yards, Latham was rock-solid on the right side of the line.

Originally from Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Latham was a five-star recruit and one of the best prospects in the country coming out of IMG Academy in Florida.

Latham was the nation's highest-ranked offensive lineman and No. 2 prospect overall on the 247Composite.

As a sophomore, he helped Catholic Memorial in Wisconsin to a state championship before heading to IMG, where he started at left tackle.
