The first day of the 2024 Masters is upon us. The 88th edition of the annual tournament is sure to astound as once again, the best golfers in the world are converging in Augusta for a shot at a coveted green jacket.

As the golfers approach the first tee, there are still so many questions that fans have. Will Scottie Scheffler continue his dominance this year with a win at The Masters? Can Jon Rahm become the first back-to-back champ since Tiger Woods in 2001 and 2002? Can Tiger Woods break the record for most consecutive cuts made at The Masters? Can Rory McIlroy rebound from his horrendous performance a year ago?

These are questions everyone is thinking about as we near the greatest weekend of the year for golf fans. Here are the latest predictions from around the internet.

2024 Masters: Ranking LIV golfers based on their Masters odds

2024 Masters predictions:

CBS Sports: Fade Rory McIlroy

The CBS Sports Staff seemingly has zero faith in Rory McIlroy to walk away from Augusta with a victory, despite McIlroy holding the second-best odds of any competitor. Sia Nejad is fading the four-time major winner because the 34-year-old is 0-for-14 at the Masters in his career. McIlroy's recent struggles at the Masters don't help either. In 2023, McIlroy missed the cut entirely.

FOX Sports: Xander Schauffele to finish top-20 (-165)

Chris Fallica writes, "Count me out when it comes to Xander in the win markets, but count me in when we’re talking top-10s and top-20s, as he’s posted a top-20 in seven straight majors and four of the last five Masters."

Golfweek: Jon Rahm to win (+1100)

Adam Thompson may not believe that Rahm will win, but believes that at +1000 or better odds (depending on the sportsbook), his odds are too good to pass up. He writes, "He’s finished in the top 10 in five of his last six Masters starts. Rahm is long off the tee and a premier putter – his 2024 stats rank him in the top 10 in both categories in the field – and he’s obviously going to be fine handling any pressure that comes over the weekend."
