LSU stays put in ESPN’s Football Power Index despite losing to Ole Miss
It was a disappointing result on Saturday night in Oxford for LSU, which fell 55-49 to Ole Miss despite a prolific offensive performance thanks to a porous outing on defense once again.
It was arguably the biggest result in an overall quiet weekend. Georgia and Notre Dame faced scares on the road against Auburn and Duke but ultimately survived.
With several top teams on byes and others not facing significant tests, we didn’t see much shakeup in this week’s updated Football Power Index from ESPN. LSU held its position from last week despite the loss.
