LSU survived 14 innings against the Crimson Tide, with shortstop Taylor Pleasants walking off with a single to break the tie and keep the Tigers' title hopes alive.
Tennessee and LSU have played one series this season, when the Tigers went to Knoxville and lost two of three, scoring one run the entire weekend.
The two teams meet again on Thursday.
