The Bryant brand of basketball is alive and well in the next generation. And not just in the “Mamba Mentality” coaching style and sports academy from former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant.

His daughter, Gianna, has learned a thing or two from her dad’s game. In a recent intrasquad practice, the 13-year-old threw up a “familiar looking fade,” in Bryant’s words, despite solid defense near the baseline.

It’s like deja vu.

Yeah that looks familiar. So does most of what Gianna has done in her young career. She is the second-oldest of four Bryant girls and her dad has been coaching her middle school team for a few years now and took some heat in September for an Instagram post that seemed to shame a player for missing one game due to a dance recital.

As for Gianna, we’re ready to see those smooth moves in the college ranks. It’s incredible to think that’s five entire years from now.
