Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball had arthroscopic surgery on his injured left knee on Tuesday.

The Lakers announced that the surgery was successful and that the team expects Ball to be ready for training camp.

Ball suffered torn meniscus toward end of season

Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania reported in June that Ball had suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee. Ball was diagnosed with the meniscus tear at the end of the season, and Ball and the team were debating treatment options at the time of the report. They ultimately decided on surgery.

Ball missed 30 games last season due to a sprained MCL and contusion on the same knee.
