Homers, gems and steals: Vote for IHSAA softball players of the week (April 24-29)

IndyStar will be recognizing the top softball players in Indiana with our players of the week poll.

We will be accepting nominees for the week of May 1-6 beginning Friday afternoon until Sunday at 1 p.m.

Congratulations to Ben Davis' Madyson Vivace on being voted Player of the Week for April 17-22! The senior went 4-for-4 against Lawrence Central with three doubles. She drove in five runs and was 7-for-7 on fielding chances (six putouts, one assist).

Here are last week's top performers.

Skylar Bledsoe, Ben Davis

Bledsoe finished the week 7-for-13 with three doubles, three RBIs, seven runs scored and seven stolen bases. She was 5-for-5 with two doubles against Warren Central

Allie Blum, New Palestine

Blum was a double shy of the cycle against New Castle, finishing 4-for-5 with five runs scored and five RBIs. She logged two hits (one homer) two runs and three RBIs over the team's next two games (wins over Center Grove and Shelbyville).

Claire Cullen, Noblesville

The junior pitched 10 innings in relief Tuesday vs. Westfield. She allowed zero runs on four hits with 14 strikeouts and three walks. Noblesville won with an unearned run in the top of the 14th.

Sidney Feczko, Cathedral

The freshman came up big at the plate vs. Lawrence North, going 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a double. She also pitched five innings, allowing two runs on four hits with five strikeouts.

Savannah Hamilton, South Bend St. Joseph

Hamilton had a very good week at the plate, batting .500 (5-for-10) with three RBIs, a run scored and three walks. She was 3-for-4 against West Central and is batting .414 on the year with six RBIs and six runs scored.

Katelyn Hassfurther, Forest Park

Hassfurther drove in six runs over her first two games of the week (five hits, one home run) then scored three runs and drove in another vs. Crawford County on Thursday.

Erin Hoehn, North Posey

The senior spun an eight-inning no-hitter vs. Heritage Hills on Monday. She struck out 21 of 26 batters faced and allowed just two base runners (one walk and a HBP). The Vikings won, 1-0, on a walk-off double by Sibyl Renshaw. Hoehn went 2-for-3 with a couple RBIs in a win over Evansville Mater Dei, and tossed another no-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 15-0 win over South Spencer.

Delaney Jones, Indian Creek

The freshman has posted double-digit strikeouts in seven consecutive games, with 34 over three starts (18 innings) last week. She was 2-1 for the week, with shutouts vs. Edinburgh and West Vigo. She also picked up six hits, seven RBIs, three runs scored and two home runs.

Kaylee Kline, Eastern Hancock

Kline went 6-for-7 with six RBIs over two games last week. She homered twice in an 8-0 win over Northeastern, and is batting .558 with 24 RBIs this season.

Taylor Lopez, Hobart

Lopez collected nine hits and three RBIs last week. Her run was highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance (three runs scored) vs. Merrillville and a three-RBI performance vs. Kankakee Valley.

Kendall Lowry, Mooresville

The senior catcher went 6-for-8 over a two-game series vs. Franklin. Lowry drove in three runs and scored once herself. She also totaled 12 putouts and had three assists.

Emily Marks, Plainfield

The senior batted .538 with a double, three home runs and 11 RBIs. One of her round-trippers was a grand slam vs. Noblesville on Saturday. She also went 1-0 in the circle with an ERA of 0.955.

Emma Piercy, Whiteland

The senior went 6-for-8 over two games vs. Martinsville. She scored twice and drove in two runs herself, and is batting .568 with six RBIs and 25 runs scored on the season.

Tatum Rickert, Cowan

Rickert went 9-for-11 at the plate, smacking five homers and driving in 14 runs, while also allowing just 10 hits over 11 innings pitched with 20 strikeouts.

Kate Ridgway, Sullivan

Ridgway pitched a one-hit shutout in a 15-0 win over South Putnam, piling up nine strikeouts along the way. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate two RBIs and two runs scored. The Evansville commit, who set the school's single-game strikeout record with 17 vs. Washington on April 15, hit a 3-run home run vs. Brown County.

Olivia Roberts, Greenfield-Central

Roberts went 6-for-8 over a pair of conference games with three home runs, a double and nine RBIs.

Keagan Rothrock, Roncalli

Rothrock went 10-for-13 at the plate with three doubles, three runs scored, two home runs and 11 RBIs. The Florida commit also logged three starts, allowing just six hits with 29 strikeouts and two walks. She pitched a perfect game against Martinsville, fanning 11 of the 15 batters she faced.

Emma Sells, Pioneer

The junior had herself a week at the plate, going 8-for-14 with five RBIs, five runs scored and a triple. She had two hits and four RBIs vs. Frontier, then went 3-for-5 with three runs scored in a 13-12 win over Winamac.

Hannah Sutton, Avon

Sutton went boom four times last week, smacking a couple home runs and driving in four runs vs. Brownsburg, then going yard for her lone hit with a couple RBIs vs. Cathedral and again vs. Terre Haute North. The junior's 12 bombs are single-season record.

Chloe Tanner, Westfield

Tanner picked up 12 strikeouts over 14 innings in a loss to Noblesville, then punched out 11 over seven innings against Tri-West. She also doubled in a pair of runs vs. the Millers and collected a single and a triple vs. the Bruins.

Hailey Thompson, Brownsburg

Thompson batted .667 with three homers and eight RBIs last week, highlighted by a four-RBI performance against McCutcheon that included the game-tying and winning runs in the top of the seventh She also totaled 23 strikeouts over 14 innings pitched (two wins).

Easton Wampler, Mt. Vernon

The Marauders are heating up and Wampler has been at the forefront. She went 6-for-8 on the week, with a 3-for-4, two-RBI, one-home run showing vs. Delta and was 2-for-2 with a home run, five RBIs and a walk against Fishers.

Riley Zache, South Bend St. Joseph

The junior Mizzou commit batted .533 on the week with six doubles, two doubles three RBIs and three runs scored. Zache, who blasted five home runs over two games on April 22, was 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a pair of RBIs and a pair of runs scored in Saturday's 10-7 loss to South Bend Adams.
