Here's how former Iowa State football players did in Week 14 of the NFL season

Week 14 of the NFL season is in the books, and several former Cyclones significantly impacted their team.

Brock Purdy has the San Francisco 49ers officially in the playoffs. Breece Hall helped put the New York Jets back in the win column. Plus a rare struggle for David Montgomery and the Detroit Lions against the Chicago Bears. That and more in our Week 14 recap.

Here's how all former Iowa State players did this week.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers QB

Purdy carved up Seattle for the second time in three weeks, this time on his home turf.

The former Iowa State quarterback finished 19-for-27 passing for 368 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, while also adding two carries for seven yards in the 49ers' 28-16 win. Purdy hit Deebo Samuel for a long TD in the second quarter, then came back to find George Kittle for a fourth-quarter score to put it away.

Lots of accolades and awards are coming Purdy's way when this season ends.

Breece Hall, New York Jets RB

Hall and the New York Jets snapped an ugly five-game losing streak with a strong win over a hot Houston Texans squad. The former Iowa State running back was right in the middle of the 30-6 victory.

Hall finished with just 40 rushing yards on 10 carries but added eight receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. His three-yard scoring grab in the fourth quarter cemented this blowout win.

Hall went over 1,000 total yards this season, 625 on the ground and 435 through the air. He'll look to keep the momentum going Sunday at Miami.
