Former Pacer Paul George among Western Conference All-Star reserves

Former Pacers All-Star Paul George will return to Indianapolis for the All-Star Game representing the Clippers as a reserve on the Western Conference All-Stars.

George, who is averaging 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the 31-15 Clippers, was one of 14 reserves -- seven in each conference, named to the All-Star Game on Thursday night which will bring him back to Indiana for the All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Feb. 18. George played with the Pacers from 2010-17 and was named an All-Star four times in that period. He is one of just four Pacers to ever be named an NBA All-Star starter.

Joining George on the Western Conference All-Star team reserve list were his Clippers teammate Kawhi Leonard, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Phoenix's Devin Booker, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards, Lakers big man Anthony Davis and Minnesota's Karl Anthony Towns.

The Eastern Conference reserves are Boston's Jaylen Brown, Cleveland's Donovan Mitchell, New York's Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle, Miami's Bam Adebayo, Philadelphia's Tyrese Maxey and Orlando's Paolo Banchero.

The Pacers did not have a player named to the reserves, but point guard Tyrese Haliburton was named one of the Eastern Conference's starters last week. Joining him in the starting lineup were Milwaukee's Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Philadelphia's Joel Embiid and Boston's Jayson Tatum. The Western Conference starters are Dallas' Luka Doncic, Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous Alexander, the Lakers' LeBron James, Denver's Nikola Jokic and Phoenix's Kevin Durant.
