Falcons sign kicker Matthew Wright to practice squad

The Atlanta Falcons have signed kicker Matthew Wright to the practice squad, the team announced on Thursday morning. With Younghoe Koo dealing with a back injury, Wright will likely serve as an emergency backup if Koo can’t play in Week 12.

The Falcons released wide receiver Damiere Byrd from the practice squad on Wednesday, opening up a spot for Wright. The 27-year-old kicker has appeared in 23 games, making 40 of 46 career field-goal attempts.

Check out the team’s updated 53-man roster, 16-man practice squad and depth chart heading into Week 12.
