Derek Barnett’s $10 million salary with the Eagles for 2021 is now fully guaranteed

The start of the 2021 league year is upon us and that means Carson Wentz is a member of the Indianapolis Colts after the Eagles’ trade for two draft picks was made official on Wednesday.

The Eagles are under the salary cap and Derek Barnett will earn $10 million in 2021 after his fifth-year option just became official.

Barnett has produced 19.5 sacks in four seasons, while also missing 15 games due to injury over the past three years, but he’s likely to land an extension as the Eagles look to create even more cap room.
