Who was the best Oklahoma high school girls athlete last week? Your votes decide

The Oklahoman's girls spring athletes of the week poll for April 1-7 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Sunday.

The winner of last week’s poll was Allie Justiz of McGuinness golf.

Here are this week’s nominees in golf, soccer, slowpitch softball, tennis and track.

Girls athletes of the week

Kaylee Carter, Sr., Southmoore slowpitch softball: The third-ranked SaberCats have been rolling in 2024 out to a 15-2 start, thanks in large part to Carter’s efforts. She leads Southmoore with a .714 batting average, 14 home runs, and 38 RBIs. Carter’s dominance on the diamond helped the SaberCats go 4-1 in the Washington tournament last week.

Lucy Darr, Sr., Stillwater golf: Darr shot a 32 to win the individual title at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Invitational. The Oklahoma State signee led Stillwater to place second as a team.

Ava Goodell, Sr., Edmond Memorial tennis: She won the No. 1 singles title at Edmond Memorial's tournament Saturday.

Katie Johnston, Jr., McGuinness soccer: Johnston scored the winning goal in McGuinness’ 3-2 victory over Norman. The Florida commit recorded two goals and one assist.

Savanna Meek, Sr., Crossings Christian track: The Oklahoma Baptist signee won the 100-meter hurdles (15.14 seconds) 300 hurdles (46.16) at the 61st annual Ed Forester meet in Bethany on Saturday.
