Meet The Oklahoman's 2024 All-City high school girls wrestling first team

Here are the first-team members of The Oklahoman's 2024 All-City girls wrestling squad.

Kyrain Perez, Westmoore

Weight: 100  |  Class: Sophomore

The story: She beat Moore junior Kylee Smith in a 4-2 decision in the Class 6A finals as she finished her championship season with a 43-4 record.

Addie Morse, Harrah

Weight: 105  |  Class: Sophomore

The story: Morse is on The Oklahoman’s All-City first team for the second straight season. She won her first Class 5A title after finishing as the 100-pound runner-up last year at the state tournament, which included just one classification before it was split into two for this season.

Coty Sessions, Norman North

Weight: 110  |  Class: Junior

The story: Sessions went 35-1 and claimed the Class 6A title, becoming the first female state wrestling champion from Norman Public Schools.

Abigail Rivero, Stillwater

Weight: 115  |  Class: Junior

The story: An excellent season for Rivero, who went 27-5 and pinned Broken Arrow sophomore Kristen DeLaRosa in the Class 6A finals.

Kurstin Howell, Noble

Weight: 120  |  Class: Senior

The story: She placed fourth in Class 6A at the state tournament and finished with a 33-4 record.

Taylor Ellis-Hishaw, Edmond North

Weight: 125  |  Class: Junior

The story: A three-time world champion in mixed martial arts and two-time world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Ellis-Hishaw claimed her first state wrestling title this season. She went 27-0 and dominated at the Class 6A state tournament.

Alexis Ahtone, Putnam City

Weight: 130  |  Class: Senior

The story: She won the Class 6A championship after beating Glenpool senior Stella Edison in an 8-0 major decision in the finals. A Carl Albert State College signee, Ahtone finished 28-4.

Shelby Kemp, Moore

Weight: 135  |  Class: Senior

The story: She pinned Blanchard junior Lynn Horn in the Class 6A finals, winning her second straight championship. Horn entered that match with a 29-0 record.

Bella Williams, Edmond North

Weight: 140  |  Class: Junior

The story: She won her third championship, went 34-0 and remains undefeated as a Husky. Williams won the Class 6A title at 140 pounds and was recently ranked as the nation’s No. 1 wrestler at 135 pounds by USA Wrestling, Flowrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Kaylee Davis, El Reno

Weight: 145  |  Class: Senior

The story: She won the Class 6A title and went 41-1, ending her high school career as a three-time champion.

Ryleigh Lefkowitz, Putnam City

Weight: 155  |  Class: Sophomore

The story: She placed third at the Class 6A state tournament after winning the 140-pound title as a freshman.

Ashley Maldanado Gamas, Putnam City

Weight: 170  |  Class: Senior

The story: The Oklahoma City University signee had a great senior year, placing third at the Class 6A state tournament and going 31-3.

Tessalynn Goodner, Putnam City

Weight: 190  |  Class: Freshman

The story: Goodner shined in her first high school season, winning the Class 6A championship and finishing 26-3.

Kinslee Collier, Edmond North

Weight: 235  |  Class: Sophomore

The story: She pinned Owasso junior Zion Moore in the Class 6A finals as she claimed the title and finished with a 27-6 record. Collier helped Edmond North place second in the team standings as the Huskies lost by just a half point to Bixby.

Coach of the Year: Brandon Smith, Little Axe

The story: Smith led Class 5A Little Axe to its first state title in wrestling. The Indians also had two individual state champions, freshmen Alexus Jones (130 pounds) and Chloe Vawter (235 pounds).
