Ben Simmons reacts to Nets’ win over the Washington Wizards

In the Brooklyn Nets’ 112-100 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday, Nets guard Ben Simmons 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. He looked like he was getting back to his old self after missing five of the past six games because of a strain in his left calf.

The Nets have been cautious with Simmons’ playing time as he has struggled with various injuries throughout this season. He missed some time earlier in the season with a left knee issue and that may be connected to the calf issue that he was dealing with most recently. However, Simmons looks to be fresh and confident when on the floor.

Simmons gave his reaction to the Nets locking down the Wizards in the third quarter:

“Just lock it in. We know what to do, we know how we need to play, and I think it’s just building consistency on that side of the defense. Just doing it. We gotta lock in and prepare like we’re playing the best teams every night.”

The Nets’ next game is at the Toronto Raptors on Friday.
