Anthony Davis’ status update after hurting his shoulder on Friday

The Los Angeles Lakers achieved a thrilling 123-122 victory on Friday over the surging Milwaukee Bucks. They truly earned it, as LeBron James didn’t play due to serious ankle pain, and they had to overcome a late 118-112 deficit to come out on top.

D’Angelo Russell led the way with a sensational 44 points, which included nine 3-pointers. Anthony Davis also did his job with 22 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots, but he was ineffective in the fourth quarter due to a hurt shoulder.

Los Angeles will host the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of the best teams in the Western Conference, on Sunday as it continues a very challenging stretch of games. The good news is that Davis is listed as questionable for that contest, as is LeBron James.

The Lakers currently hold ninth place in the Western Conference with a 35-30 record, and they’re just 2.5 games behind the sixth-seeded Sacramento Kings.
