99th Howard Wood Dakota Relays set fo/r Friday and Saturday in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS – Eight runners, including Northwestern sophomore Ella Boekelheide, are slated to compete Friday in the Girls Special 800-Meter Run during the 99th Howard Wood Dakota Relays track and field meet.
The event is set for 6:05 p.m. Friday at Howard Wood Field.
Boekelheide, the state B runner-up in the event last spring, has the fastest 800 time in Class B so far this year.
Other runners include defending state Class A champion Berkeley Engelland of Mount Vernon-Plankinton, Sydney Drevlow of Hopkins (Minn.), Libby Castelli of O’Gorman, Mia Wentzy and Addison Scholten of Brandon Valley, Evva Selensky of St. Mary’s Central in Bismarck, N.D., Anna Vyn and alternate Ellie Maddox of Sioux Falls Christian.
