Turiaf agrees to join Timberwolves

Veteran forward-center Ronny Turiaf has agreed to a two-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

Turiaf will sign a two-year contract worth $3.2 million, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Timberwolves already have centers Gorgui Dieng and Chris Johnson as well as power forwards Kevin Love, Derrick Williams and Dante Cunningham.

Turiaf, 30, averaged just 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game for the Los Angeles Clippers last season, but he is viewed as a pretty good defensive player.
